Can Pollack still come in and make an impact?

Answer: Apart 1000's of Dollars they will come to agreement soon.

Can he make a impact this season? Yes he will.

Is Chad Johnson the best WR in the Divison?

Mike goes "YES" Right away.... But, he said Ward is right behind him.

Do the Bengals have enough on Defense to Make the Playoffs?

Mike "I don't think so"

Is this a put up or shut up year for Marvin Lewis?

Pretty much, Next step is a winning season... But he isn't close to being fired... lol

Is Carson Palmer Ready to Step up to the Level of the Elites QB's.

"Yes he is ready" With TJ and CJ and Rudi he is ready to roll.

Thats pretty much it... take it as you want.

Mikes Predicition is 8-8

Well, they are horrible at that little game with the Bengals. The last two years they have predicted them 5-11 if I recall right, and each time they went 8-8. So, if the big doofus misses by three games again, I will be just fine with it.

Don't you get it? These guys predict the outcome of the season to equal two years prior to where they are now.

Yes Next, I understand. Golic is extremely slow to react to what is going on at present and is confused when his worldview is threatened. Mostly then he stares mutely forward and then talks about what a cool teammate Jerome Brown was. I thought that went without saying, but since you forced me to say it, there it is.

Ok, as long as you realize that Golic has a few scrambled brain cells and is a bit slow :)

Personally, I really like that show, and Golic too for taht matter. He doesn't hide that he's a tick slow, and they usually pick on him for it and he takes it very well.

As far as his little bit goes, he just picked the safe answers.

It's a damned safe prediction.

I don't know if it's THAT much of a stretch to predict 8-8. I mean, we didn't add an impact player (unless you count Chris Perry) or lose anyone. At the time of the prediction, we didn't have our #1 pick in the fold. If I weren't a die-hard, I would think 8-8 sounded just about right, especially with a tough division, sans Cleveland, and a rough schedule.

I predict 11-5, and the division title, but like I said, I'm a diehard.

No, last year they predicted they would go 7-9 because of Carson being a rookie and holes in the defense. Seems pretty right on to me.

They went 7-9 if you don't count the last game of the year where they beat the Oklahoma Sooners... no wait, even the Sooners have more NFL ready starters than the Eagles played in that game.

Golic isn't impressed with our defense. He shouldn't be. We haven't proven anything yet, but with the new coordinator, and all the changes in the front 7 (noth positional and personell) I think we can come a long way from 8-8, since we don't have a rookie QB anymore. - Of course, I'm a Bengals fan.

Hmmm, pretty sure it was less than 7-9. At the very least 6-10.

And, I like the Mike and Mike show. But mostly for Greenberg. Golic ain't exactly a font of "cutting edge" analysis.

I cannot wait for our D to stick it in a bunch of skeptics faces by mid-season.

Starting to get fired up now. So glad the focus is back on the field...

I listen to Mike and Mike every morning while I'm at work, and although I didn't agree with Golic's pick for the final regular-season record, I find the show to be hugely entertaining.

But if you don't like Mike and Mike and want to be entertained, listen to the Herd. I love that freakin' show. Cowherd is a pimp.

Well, I can't say for sure what Golic said, but I remember with 99.9% certainty that Greeny made a comment something like: I think they take a step back with Palmer and go 7-9. Possibly Golic said 6-10. Don't remember...

Either way, they are a sports talk show that does what gets ratings... they're not exactly John Clayton. They haven't done enough research to make a truly educated pick, so I'm not too worried what they think. I take it wait ha grain of salt, and my day isn't ruined when they think the Bengals are going to be average.

Even the true analysts didn't see the Chargers coming. I guess that's why they play the game

I'm honestly very surprised when I see the Bengals predicted to do any better than 9-7. Certainly, I expect and hope for a solid 10-6 year, but it's undersatandable why the non-Bengals world would not see it that way. Porous defense, mistake prone quarterback, and 14 straight years outside of 9 win land. Give 'em time, and they'll warm up to the Bengals.

porous defense, mistake prone quarterback,

Yep and those are big question marks in mind still that won't allow me to even predict a winning record yet.

When you're talking about a defense that gave up 27+ points per game 6 times last year, including 48 in one game, it's hard to imagine they'll do a complete 360. Then again just being competent might be good enough as they say.

They started 1-4 last year and still managed to go 8-8. Kitna was awful except for the Eagles game against their 2nd team where the Bengals stomped them bad on the road. And of course Palmer lit up New England on the road and they won 4 of their last 6 games.

Give Palmer an entire season staying healthy, add Warrick, Perry and Henry hopefully most of the year, and they could be great, or just another mediocre team again. I have no idea how to predict NFL seasons anymore, it's futile. Injuries in the cap era just make too much of a difference now and things are just too unpredictable.
