maddydaddy
The most obvious weakness on the bengals is the D-line. The addition of Robinson will defiantly help but now there is the bait for a serious trade. Many NFL teams are desperate for a starting quality receiver, and we have 4. Marvin Lewis knows where the weaknesses are and will fix them. He is a defensive minded coach and it would not surprise me if we trade P-Dub or Hush for the like of a Corey Simon. We are so deep at receiver that we need to use our equity and trade for a chance todo something special this year. The offense is there and we are just 1 or 2 pieces away from being a top ten defence..... It will happen before game 1 in Cleveland...Lewis is up to something... :player:
Stripes
An intriguing proposition, but I don't see it happening. I think Philly should trade T.O. to Oakland for Ronald Curry (or Jerry Porter if Al davis will part with him) and draft picks, and then trade Simon to us for Peter warrick and draft picks. Doubtful, but interesting.
Kazkal
I'm sure raiders would trade porter for TO
ArmyBengal
I can't see Housh going anywhere after signing the big contract and I can't see bringing in Simon (As much as that would make me happy) because of the $$ he is demanding. I can however see some type of trade happening. Then again, you never know. Like I said in another thread, it's nice to have this type of problem !!WHODEY !!! bengalboomer7
If a trade does happen, I don't think it will be for anything more than a second day draft pick.
bengalskyspy
I'd support trading TJ for Simon. I think we have numorous #2 WR's that could proudce TJ-like numbers.
The_Next_Big_Thing
What you all need to remember is that there are very very few player for player trades in the NFL. It just doesn't happen that often. There will be no WR for Dline trades. There isn't the time to insert a new player on our dline for the season. Ickey44
I'm sure raiders would trade porter for TO That rumor's already come and gone. Davis said there was no way he was trading Porter after the huge signing bonus he just gave Porter in the offseason.

The Big Orange
The most obvious weakness on the bengals is the D-line. I disagree...Strong safety is very weak, as is TE...both line's are decent with depth. So are LB, CB, RB, WR, and QB's.
GROIIIDayton
What about TJ and Warrick for T.O. and Simons. There is no doubt that if the Eagles decide to trade T.O. the Bengals will be one of the first teams they call. I know T.O. is a problem, but if you could renagotiate the contrct before signing him it is possible. I know all of you will say that there is no way the bengals not only would do this but they couldn't. The Bengals getting rid of TJ (4 mil) and Warricks (2.2) million could bring this close. T.O. is getting 3.5 mil this year so you could structure a contract paying him 4.5 this year and if we could find 3 mil a year for simons it might be possible. That would instantly have superbowl all over it.
KRUNKJUICE
There's no way Marvin would want T.O. after Dillon, Takeo Spikes, and now Pollack. I do think it would be plausible to trade Warrick and Kelley Washington for Corey Simon. I think Philly would jump on that. Two definite starting receivers for them right now with the current situation they have now.
bengalindian
You think big-headed TO and Corey Simon would want to go to the Bengals who have been known to be stingent with their money? Especially TO who knows that he wouldn't get the balls he deserves because of Chad. As TNBT said, there are very few player for player trades because of all the contract restructuring and such that needs to occur. It is way too late in the offseason for any such trade to occur, but it is a nice thought to think about someone like Corey Simon to land in Cincinnati.I don't care for TO at all. I like Chad just fine.
GROIIIDayton
i like Chad also, and I like him better than I like T.O. Player for player trades are more likely to happen as the season grows closer especially when one team needs to get rid of a player. TNBT I don't know what you are talking about player for player trades happen fairly often it's just that alot of times there is a draft pick thrown into the deal get your facts straight. There is going to be a trade of some sort.
ShulaSteakhouse
Don't forget KW and PW's contracts are up after this year.TJ was signed and Henry was drafted to make up for that.Sure one of those two might get re-signed, but there's no reason to rush Henry, plus he's completely unproven and was passed over high in the draft for a reason. What if CJ or TJ gets hurt? This offense depends on 3 WR's a lot of the time. This isn't fantasy football!! Teams won't trade for guys they can pick up on waivers in the preseason without giving up draft picks.
JPW
There have been reports that, the Bengals already had a deal worked out with the Eagles for Simon, earlier in the off-season.In fact there were reports that the Ravens also had a deal worked out for him.But neither team was able to come to an agreement with Simon on a contract so neither deal went through. The_Next_Big_Thing
"there isn't time to insert a D-Lineman for this season"That bodes ill for Pollack doesn't it. Sortof. First of all, Pollack isn't a defensive lineman. He is a rushing linebacker. He won't be used full time this season, despite being offered the starting position if he got his rear into camp. At this point, he would have to be the next Jack Lambert (although he was a MLB) in order to start at all this season. At this point, Pollack will be a situational pass rusher.
