Spying on the enemy

Tonight in about an hour I'll be going to Clevelands practice. I should be back around 10, and I can tell you how they're looking, and if we need to be worried on September 11.

OK. I'm back.

There were definately a share of geeks there. I guess if a man with a mullet and 4 teeth is a geek, then I was surrounded by them if you group him with the guys talking about paintball guns the whole practice. Anyway, o n the Browns.

The oblivious optimism you constantly see from the Browns even carried over to the practice field. A d lineman would be there to make the play and slow down in the whole so not to tackle Lee Suggs, (They didn't ht the backs) but Suggs cuts up field until a DB pushed him out of bounds, and they thought it was the greatest run ever.

Charlie Frye looked BAD. Really bad. He couldn't find an open man at al, and he even through an INT on the first play of the 2 minute drill.

Anyway, if you have any questions, shoot.

I think that pretty much proved our presumptions.

The Browns suck.

When the Bengals don't do as great as you all think this year, try not to be so depressed. The Ravens and the Steelers are both better than the Bengals.

During the combine coverage they discounted the fact that he has a strong arm by showing how inaccurate his longer throws are. Seems he doesn't throw a tight spiral and on throws longer than 25 or 30 yards his passes tend to either hang in the air too long or wobble and fall off target. It was also suggested that he'd need at least two years to develope in to a potential NFL starter, and only then if he had a strong QB coach who can rebuild his throwing mechanics.
