Both sides agree on the length and the total amount.Some how this impasse should be overcome -- we must get Pollack into camp NOW!!!!!IMO There isn't anyone currently on the Bengals with his capabilities to rush the passer. No not even Landon Johnson. For some reason the Bengals seem to always find issues to "fall on their swords" over. They even create new issues -- like the loyalty clause -- now its garanteed money. After years of issues, I don't trust the Bengals negotiators. If the Bengals really wanted to, they could have Pollack in camp tomorrow.In case you can't tell, I'm frustrate by this whole process -- I think I'll go play golf -- I can always hit the ball harder when I get angry there. Got some inside info on exactly what the offers and counter-offers have been to this point? We'd all love to hear about them! I think Spain is either in a bodega or drinking to much Cruzcompo (cheap local beer, nasty stuff) and it has serverly effected his judgement. I think Spain needs to take a chill pill as David Pollack will not make or break the season. The Bengals will make the playoffs with or without him. Do I think DP holding out is good? No. But it is obvious that Katie is not getting through to his agent and now some practice time will be missed. But the longer he holds out, the more likely it is that when he is signed, he'll only be on the field in pass rushing situations. If he's as good as everyone thinks (and hopes) he is, then he'll make an impact. Pass rushing is something you either have, or don't. It's not something you're going to learn in camp. As for non-pass rushing situations, I have great faith on Landon Johnson to more than adequately fill that position in until Pollack is ready to take it from him. Landon was a beast in the middle last year against the run. He didn't start until a few weeks into the season and still had over 100 tackles. We'll be fine.
