LABengalsFan09 Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 We don't have the $ for a vet..... Quote
kingwilly Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Assuming that Odell signs, then Landon can move outside. Caleb is a back-up, as are Stevens and Wilkins. With Landon, Odell, DP and Simmons, we have a nice roation for using the 3-4 situationally (not to stir that up again). Quote
HairOnFire Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Give Reinard Wilson a call???? Just kidding. You go with what you've got. Quote
LABengalsFan09 Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 It almost makes you start praying harder for Webster's health.... Quote
membengal Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 what should we doMass suicide?(joking people, just thinking that, based on some posts on this board on this already, it might seem like an option to some folks...) Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Yes, LJ outside and Odell in the middle...WHODEY !!! Quote
TippCityRick Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 I voted to let our other players fight it out, but I think that DP will be dressed in Black and Orange by the end of the week . . . i hope Quote
Stripes Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Odell takes the middle spot and Landon goes where Pollack should be. I think that already may be in the future, at least for opening day. Pollack, get your paper signed and get on the $%&# field! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 I voted for grabbing the bottle of Jack, and use it to pickle my brain! Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Landon will move to the outside and Odell to the inside, and we will have a nice linebacking core. Quote
The Big Orange Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Not sure that I've ever tasted Jack...I don't drift too far away from my wine, to be honest...maybe I should...I like de rum, I like de Bailey's...I like sweet stuff...perhaps I need an alcohol consultant Quote

As for me, I tend to lean towards wiskey that isn't so sweet that it hurts my teeth to drink. Like Woodford Reserve. And no, it's not a macho thing...just personal preference. I might actually prefer the sweeter stuff I was more of a fan of mixed drinks instead of sipping the stuff straight or with a splash of water. (Sometimes referred to as letting your booze lay down.) And now that I think about it I've actually tried several less popular types of Jack Daniels and almost always prefer them to #7. For example, the green labeled sour mash used to be a house favorite. BTW, one of my best buds consumes vast quantities of Crown Royal...which has always struck me as little more than overpriced adult Kool-Aid wrapped in a silly bag that I have no use for. But if you're in the mood to put down the wine for a night and try the sweetest of the sweet you might start your moral slide there. Quote
The Big Orange Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Thanks for the insight, Hair...I'll give the #7 and The Crown a try. Growing up in Portugal they had great tawny port called Porto (named after the 2nd biggest town). I developed a taste for at about 7 years old at a birthday party as my neighbors thought it hilarious to see a fat little american knock back a few and then lay in the driveway watching the clouds dance. Still one of the best birthday parties I've ever been to...plus I got kissed, but I think it was by a cat. Quote
DontPushMe Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Where is call him a bust and plead for his release? Quote
DesperateDerelict Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 IF pollack holds out, what should we do Punt! (Our opponents won't have to!) Quote

Growing up in Portugal they had great tawny port called Porto (named after the 2nd biggest town). No disrespect intended, but you don't sound like an experienced whisky drinker to me....so maybe you should search for a couple of those little bottles they serve on airliners until you decide if you like the browner stuff. Moving on, perhaps you should get your biggish butt to Costco and look for Porto Ramos, a 20-year old Port that often sells for less than $40. Nice. BTW, one of my friends went to Portugal on vacation and came back with an incredibly ugly brown crock that contained over a gallon of port said to be made by a family friend. That was my very first taste of port and no matter how long I live I assume it will always remain the best I'll ever have. In fact, I've never found anything that is half as good. Quote
