chazf73
They is a good changes that Pollack and Thurman will both make the pro-bowl this year. The defense that Marvin run's is about the same that George ran so they are picking it up so quit. One of them could be the defense rookie of the year. If you had to pick Pollack or Thurman to be rookie of the year you do you think it would it be and why.
ArmyBengal
Slow down killer....Neither are going to the pro-bowl this year, but can see it happening in the future assuming things go well. As much potential as they both have, no one really knows definitively until they get on the field and prove it. You can't pick either for rookie of the year as they haven't played and it would be nothing more than a crap shoot at this point, but since we are shooting at crap these days waiting for the season to start, I'd go with Pollack... No particuliar reason...WHODEY !!!

It hasn't always been this way, that's for sure! :player: How about this Chaz...we wait until at least a few games into the preseason before we start prognosticating Pro Bowl or Rookie of the Year honors. Granted, both of these guys were MAJOR studs in college. Let's see how that translates for them in the NFL. I honestly think both of these guys are going to be good. DAMN good. Probably not immediately, but it is possible. We shall see. Ask me again just before the regular season starts, because right now I just really don't know. Kazkal
I woulden't doubt one of the getting rookie of the year I say probowl for them within 3years.
DesperateDerelict
When was the last time a LB made it to Honolulu his rookie year? Did Suggs or Arrington get there after their first campaign? I know Urlacher was a sophomore, and murdering Ray was in his 2nd or 3rd year. If it happens, it's certainly a very rare occurence.
andybren
Obviously Pro Bowl is a little much to be expecting, especially from a black horse team like the Bengals. But Pollack could have a legitimate shot at defensive rookie of the year. Assuming, you know, he plays well. But between the two, DP has the edge since he won't be competing for the starting job.(You know, the DP nickname comes pretty easily. Except there's a pornographic connotation for the term that I'm aware of, and it wouldn't be a positive for a man. Or a female in certain company. Make that most company. I've said too much...) Rimington over Marino
I believe DJ Williams made the Pro Bowl last year as a Rookie. Or was it Vilma. one of those 2. I think they took Ray Lewis' place on the roster. I may be wrong but I thought I saw one of them play.
UK Bengal
well put it this way they have 2 of the best defensive coaches out there to help them into the pro's and if they settle quickly, which from all accounts coming out of the camps they look comfortable then i can see them both fighting for rookie of the year which means competition which means all the better for us.I would hate to be Ruben Droughens on his first play from scrimmage in the opener when he thinks hes gonna run downhill through a soft middle like when he played for denver against us last season. He wont be meeting madeu he will be waking up after a 1 yard gain with Thurman standing over him sayin "Not on my watch B****H" :player:

I don't think thurman will be either :/I love landon and all but I think odell has the job, though landon would still get plenty of game time IMO backing up all LB spots
