Bengalzone Forum get together

Recommended Posts

I'm too new to know if you guys have done this before or not, but I thought it would be cool if we had a Bengalzone Forum get together sometime this year. I know we are spread out, but like over Christmas I'm gonna visit my folks in Hamilton and since many have season tickets and will be at the Bengals games in the stadium (like I am planning on Christmas Eve), I thought it might be swell to go to a bar in Cincy and watch the Monday Night game the day after Christmas (Pats vs. Jets) and maybe I can compile some footage of the season and we could watch it...get to meet face to face some of the guys on this forum... and if we have any luck, get in a fistfight. I'll even wear pants.

Kirk, you can bring any left over egg nog, Billy you can bring some potatoe salad,

Maybe we could even get a Bengal or 2 to stop by and visit the most active (I"M not sure this is right) Bengals message board around...or at least it's the most colorful. I'm not knowledgable about where might be a good place, or if I'm the only one interested in this...just a thought.

Hey biggie, would it be cool with you if Kirkendall brought the 'tater salad, and I brought the egg nog? Seeing as how the poor bast**d can't drink anymore due to health concerns, the odds of it getting "spiced up with a high octane additive" are about as good as the odds of the Cleveland Browns posting a winning record in 2005!

I, on the other hand would reformulate the Egg Nogs chemistry in such a fashion that would guarantee all who imbibed this libation would find themselves definitely in the need for a designated driver/taxi cab!

Okay...enough booze jokes. I find the idea very appealing and very frustrating at the same time. I'm sure many other members here also feel this way because it sounds like a blast, especially with attending the game at PBS, but....I don't live in the Greater Cincinnati area. I live in Arizona. Unless I just happen to be back home visiting my brother in Northern Kentucky, there's no way I could attend such a function.

May I suggest this for the forum members who are fortunate enough to still reside in and around Cincinnati and attend the Bengals football games regularly. Especially if you have an affinity for tailgating. Just set up a place where we/they could gather before the game and get aquainted over a beer or ten, maybe grill up some dead cow parts.

With eight home games next season, as well as the Bengals most likely holding the "Home Field Advantage" thoughout the playoffs, (or so I've heard.) there would be ample opportunities for most of the folks here to attend at least one of these gatherings.

I most likely will have to wait until the Bengals and Cardinals again meet in Arizona before my opportunity to attend a Cincy game! :(

While conveniently ignoring that Rudi had run for 1600 yards with a game still to play.

Make sure not-another gets invited also. It's part of the Bengalszone gender-equity policy!

i think you mean equality not equity....your not gaining it from a housing property.

I borrowed a phrase from the NCAA. I think gender-equity is part of the Title 9 thing where they must have a proportional amount of money, participants or teams for women as they do for men.

So we don't incur any sanctions from the powers that be (and I don't mean our wives), it is important that we have some "balance" to our outing!

I'd like to go... But for me, there's this issue of not being allowed in bars, not be able to drive, not having any money, and not being able to get there. But if there is one, someboy take some pictures so I can see what everybody looks like.

Huh? I think you are thinking of the wrong guy. RJ wasnt close to 1600 yards rushing on the year, while Corey Dillon was near or over 2000 total yards, and over 1600 rushing in the regular season alone. RJ barely made it past 1400.

Hey, Pushy Chick,

What I'm saying is that even if Rudi has 1600 yards by then with still a game to play you would still think of something negative to say about Rudi like, lets say...

"He's selfish. Would it kill him to share the ball a little with Chris Perry. Back in the days of 'Mr. Team Player', Corey Dillon he loved sharing the ball with everyone, and no matter how much or how little he carried the ball he would always keep a good attitude and keep his head up."

You didn't have a little somethin'-somethin' goin' on with Leon did you, Pushy?

Its called being a fan of a football player and posting about it on a message board. If theres something wrong with that, everyone here is guilty of it.
