UofLnMU
I'm going to be decorating his room in a sports theme, with Louisville Cardinals (alma mater), Georgia Bulldogs (wife's college team), Bengals/Reds, and Steelers (wife's pro team). I've got a few things that I am definitely going to put up in his room--mini helmets, stadium pictures, bobbleheads and the like.... Has anyone seen any cute baby decoration stuff or have any recommendations? The crib will probably be done in UGA bedding with UofL and UGA mobiles....I may get him a framed picture of Pollack and David Greene clasping hands praying after a game. Any ideas? Links?BTW: his name will be Robinson Wade York. Keeping with the baseball theme, his older sister is named Seaver Quinn York.

jjakq27
Any names yet? How about Norman Julius "Boomer", or Anthony or Marvin?
UofLnMU
Yeah, we are naming him Robinson Wade (we have a baseball theme goin' on, as his sister is named Seaver). I asked if we could nickname him Boomer, but the wife ain't that indulgent.
HoosierCat
OK, since this thread seemed to be going in two very different directions, I've split the "liberal" posts off into their own thread here:http://forums.bengalszone.com/index.php?showtopic=5547Re the impending new arrival: congrats. The joys of sleep deprivation await!
jtsmith38
Congrats!!!!!! I just had a boy yesterday. We are still at the hospital now. My wife is a Buckeyes and browns fan, Im Bengals and Michigan(sorry guys ). But we agreed that that we would raise him on Ohio State and Cincinnati. I can give up the Michigan thing, but I WILL NOT shame him by letting him be a browns fan. More updates when we get home. Again congratulations and good luck!p.s. His name is Justin Robert Smith :player:

andybren
A year ago I was trying to get my sister to name her son Marvin Lewis _____, but it didn't take. But you gotta believe there's been an increase in Marvins being born in Cincinnati.

derekshank
I can give up the Michigan thing, but I WILL NOT shame him by letting him be a browns fan. Wow! I've never met anyone who could handle marrying inter OSU/Michigan. It only makes things worse that she's also a Browns fan!Props on giving up the Michigan thing. That rivalry is the stronger one, so I'm sure it was hard for you. But most of the people on this forum will agree that you made the right choice. jtsmith38
Oh Im still sticking with the Big Blue. I just cant bring it up around the baby! Also cant buy any onesies with a big M on it, just a big O. Also my wife couldnt care less about football, but her family is mostly browns fans, so I guess thats why we can get along. She does have a deep hatred for the steelers, so she cant be all bad right?!?!
