BeyondTheJungle
When Hoge first said it, Jaws even mumbled in agreement. He said Pollack may be the steal of the draft. And Trey Wingo said Pollack could be the defensive equivalent of Big Ben going to Pittsburgh last year. A perfect fit and a perfect situation.Bengals fans have a lot to be proud about today. andybren
Add in the absense of laughter when Mort said we would contend for the Super Bowl if we improved defensively...pretty good day on ESPN.

WhoDey42
We are getting a lot of recognition today for our picks. But I have to say, Merril Hodge is one of the MANY very annoying people covering the draft today.
BeyondTheJungle
They could play chamber music between the picks and it would be an improvement over some of these talking heads. Andrea Kramer is KILLING me.

HairOnFire
They could play chamber music between the picks and it would be an improvement over some of these talking heads. Andrea Kramer is KILLING me. Watching Andrea Kramer makes me think about the last time I went fishin'. Totally unrelated side note: I laughed out loud seeing how little time it took for the Giants to select Justin Tuck. Had to be the quickest pick of the day. Agree, Hodge is a Giant Douche !!!The freakin "anal"ists kill me with ripping players before a draft, only to sing their praises when picked... "Oh what a great pick !!" or "Right player for the right team"... It's all horses**t !! Go pound sand up your A$$ Hodge !!!WHODEY !!! jditty47
yep, love what we've done through the first 5 so far. got depth at crucial positions/question marks on the defensive side, and on the offensive side. arizona has done phenominal as well. id like to see them in the playoffs in like 2 years once they get that new stadium....might be a good reason to go to another game down there. TJJackson
Bengals pick 5 was quite bad. Also, why are we picking 3 offensive players in a row when our most glaring needs are on defense?I flat out don't understand.Aside: as I typed this, Merril Hoge once again complimented the Bengals both on their draft and their chances of success this coming season, namign carson as the "difference maker". jjakq27
I was watching when Merrill said his piece. That's a refreshing change. However, we will know that we've made it with the national media when they have guys like Ed Werder or Sal Pal staking out PBS rather than hanging around at Dallas or San Fran. Maybe next year, I hope?

chrishcovga
Actually Chris, that Mr, post lately, I've been around, just too busy with real life to freak out about the draft.... Real Life, you can't have no real life, if the first thing you do is come on here and start bashing guys that didn't like the Bengal draft picks, because you feel the need to " assert " your opinion that we shouldn't question what our favorite team does..If that's your version of Real Life, you need a Woman !! REAL BAD. Save that drama for someone that cares ! :player:
