PalmertotheJohnsons
If Alex Barron falls to us at 17 would you take him? He has been the consensus no. 1 Offensive Tackle in the draft and he could sit a year and learn. With Levi Jones, Eric Steinbach, and Willie all with one year left on their deals do we let one of these guys walk to draft him? Offensive line isn't nearly as pressing a need as LB, S, C, DE, DT, etc. but if he's there at 17 I say go for it b/c with the alot of the players rated similarly to one another, he's one of the more elite players in the whole draft we could get. Just curious to what everyone thinks
HoosierCat
If Barron is there it would be tough to pass on him...but I would bet you that the phone would be ringing off the hook in the bengals' war room with trade offers. I'd take the best one.

TJJackson
He lacks fire, motivation.I don't think you take him for that reason, plain and simple....
Whur CHad At?
What about his 40 time TJ? That is the real reason you wouldn't take him.
TJJackson
No worries there. We're drafting Channing Crowder, and will surgically switch Crowder's knees with Barron's so he'll have that great mobility he'll need.
thepudgester
actually he had freakishly good 40 times 4.83-4.86 at around 320 lbs is incredible, still if they need offensive line help next years draft is much deeper and stronger, I would have to think hard about taking him
