jjakq27
So if we did get Sharper, do any of you guys have a problem letting Hardy go??? I would let him GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.None of us can speak for his locker-room presence for the younger guys but I think if Webster and LJ were healthy he would have been cut in March. So to answer your question, No.
HairOnFire
This will be a draft day trade, if it happens at all. The tea leaves are now telling me that if Sharper is to become a Bengal it'll happen sometime after the June 1st cuts, and only then if the Bengals draft a WR early AND the Texans find an adequate replacement for Sharper on draft day. Just for the record, I also tossed a handful of monkey teeth and small owl bones into a large circle I had carefully drawn in the dirt with a petrified boar penis. After consulting with the nearby water spirits about the location of where the bones and teeth landed within that circle, well...let's just say that it backed up what the tea leaves had predicted. ShulaSteakhouse
Sharper, Simmons and LJ would make for a MEAN LB corps
TJJackson
JAMIE SHARPER RELEASEDnot an april fools thinghttp://www.houstontexans.com/news/news_detail.php?PRKey=1601The "sign this guy now" line will now form on the left. Please remain calm and orderly, and don't jiggle the velvet ropes. Thanks
CJBestInAFC
Great news that we can sign Sharper and not have to give any compensation to the Texans. Sign immediately, and release Webster and Hardy. Then get Thomas Davis in the first round and playoffs here we come.
HairOnFire
I'm not thrilled about the timing of the release because the competition for Sharper is going to be intense. My gut tells me it would have been less competitive if the cut was made after the draft. Then again, maybe not. Yeah, put me at the head of the "I want Sharper" line now forming to the left. Things could get very expensive...and that would probably kill the Bengals chances...but the man can still play at a very high level and his signing would free up the Bengals draft options in a HUGE way. Nice.
HairOnFire
There's an interesting snippet in Pete Prisco's latest offering about Sharper being one of only nine defensive players who played every snap last last season. In fact, I find that news so notable that I have to wonder why I didn't start my own Sharper thread.
