"Jungle Noise"

I pulled this off of the "jungle noise" BB over on Bengals.com.

I mean good god these people cannot spell and are the most bandwagon happy fans I have ever seen. Check out this god awful post.

You know folks it sure looks like corey and takeo should be applauded instead of ridiculed. They didn't buy into marvin lewis' spin on things and look at where they are both at now--the playoffs. Too bad for all the sucker fans that continue to pump their money into Mike Brown's wallet, too bad for great guys like Willie Anderson who at his own admission has to be the "losingest player" in the NFL. Buffalo's head coach said it right from the start...all we have to do is be patient and wait for them to make mistakes because they will. Perfect philosophy for any head coach going up against the Bungles. I know I'm sick and tired of buying the "glass is half full" any longer. Marvin Lewis isn't the answer. Chad Johnson, Carson Palmer, Rudi Johnson aren't the answers. If they were then this team would be winning in Lewis' second season--teams are doing it everywhere else except bungleland. I swear they will break the Saints record of 20 straight non-winning seasons....14 down, 6 more to go. This organization is full of nothing but self-apologetic, turnover and mistake-prone also-rans who wouldn't even break the depth chart on another team. And as much as people may not want to hear it, Marvin Lewis stinks as a head coach. All of your prominent successful defensive coordinators stunk as head coaches, Hank Bullough, Buddy Ryan, Dave Wannstedt. They would be better off firing Lewis and hiring the offensive coordinator for Indianapolis as their next head coach. Because apparently this franchise has become accepting of 7 and 8 win seasons. Look out New Orleans, the Bungles are gunning for your 20-year record of futility. And by the way, if Kitna is back with the team next year they deserve to go 0-16. KOES 9:28 pm

f**k that guy!! He can suck a cock!!! This is not the same bengals as before. We are prob the 15th best team in football. That is half way there. In the past 14 years it has been more like under 26 best team. This is not the same team and for being a first year QB and a second year coaching staff, and basically ALL NEW players we are doing just fine!!!

We don't need or want fans like that anyway. All you can tell them is don't buy a ticket, don't watch the games, and leave me the F$%@ alone!

I can see how this person is frusterated, but this guy isn't even a "fan". Fans don't say sh*t like that. Thist team has improved a lot compared to what it was, and should be competitive in the near future. Its one thing to joke around about a losing team, but this guy is a huge bandwagon jumper. Those people are annoying, cheer for them when they all of a sudden win, but when they dont-no where to be found other then negative comments. But oh well..you find em everywhere.

The quote from Buffalo's coach cracks me up, so true. How can anyone deny that? Did he actually say that? That is embarrassing if so.

The guy obviously is a bit overboard, and I know Marvin wants to win a championship more than Mike Brown does - but at some point you have to hold Marvin accountable for the ridiculous amount of mistakes this team still makes every single week. It's been that way since he's been here and I am tired of watching it myself.

That said I still think Marvin is a worthy coach and had to settle for some crap assistants here (Alexander, Frazier, others) due to timing, and has to fight the cheap Brown family just to get things every other team has.

For one they need an indoor practice facility next to PBS covering one of the practice fields for God's sakes. How can a team have an effective practice and keep in shape in this freakin' weather every year? Even the eighties teams used to go to Schmidt fieldhouse - now they have to drive to Mason just to practice.

You sheep may settle for .500 seasons as your goal and keep thinking thing "tomorrow, tomorrow, there's always tomorrow" like a bunch of little sissy Annie's in a red dress sucking Marvin's teet, but I and other's with higher standards expect a winning season in the near future (next year) or it's time to make more changes and that includes the head coach if necessary.

But in all seriousness I expect, with a good off-season for once, this team to be in the playoffs next year and there should be no other goal or settling for mediocrity anymore. 16 seasons is too much. 3 seasons is more than enough to turn an NFL franchise around these days, more than enough time.

Brilliant! You win the annual award for the dumbest mother f**ker in the history of the world!

Expect a new coach with the same players to come in and make an immediate turn around. It takes time to build a winning team. In his first two years as our head coach, Marvin Lewis has improved our average winning percentage from less than 25% of our games over the last 5 years to nearly 50% of our games. What a horrible, terrible job he is doing. He should have come in and gone to the super bowl last year! You are so ignorant it must be painful trying to open doors by pushing when it says pull.

Marvin Lewis is building our team through the draft. That takes time. If Marvin averages winning 50% of our games over his first 5 years, that's an achievement. We are talking about taking over the worst team in the HISTORY of the NFL. The replacement players during the strike year had more talent than what he had when he started. It takes time. That he has taken the squad he started with, replaced most of the players on the roster, and won half of his games is a testament to his coaching ability. Just imagine what he will be able to do as his draft picks mature into veterans.

Yeah, the guy is a bit overboard, and I agree that Marvin Lewis is a worthy coach; I keep in mind that there is a learning curve for him too as a head coach. I do hold Lewis accountable for the sloppiness, and I think he needs to take some strong measures to address the mindset of the team.

I've been yelling for a purge on the heals of the Buffalo melt-down. I still think that a purge is in order unless he has some other ways of achieving a drastic increase in professionalism from some of the veteran players. The purge may end up not involving a lot of numbers, but I think the Bengals need to be willing to re-think the value of some people that would be safe if the Bengals had risen to the occasion last Sunday.

Don't waste your time, NBT. I've been here, done that, and the bottom line is that the number of Bengals fans for whom words like "patience" and "reason" represent foreign concepts are legion. The funny thing this season has been trying to keep up with the moving targets those who demand instant change keep throwing up.

Before the season, it was the might Tuna in Dallas. Hey, 1 year and he made them into a playoff team! Then they sucked and suddenly the Tuna was a sardine.

After the first couple weeks, it was all about Tom Coughlin. Clearly Mikey effed up by hiring this loser Marvin, look at the awesome 1-season turnaround TC did in NY! Well, we all know what happened to that.

Then they turned their sights on Cheeselisburger in Pitt. Boy, what a draft day eff-up Marvin is for taking Palmer instead of Cheesy. Well, that one didn't hold too much water for obvious reasons, so then they went to SD.

Hey, look at the miracle 1-year turnaround there! Never mind that this season is the fruit of a 3-year rebuild that started with guys like Brees and Tomlinson, as well as dumping aging vets like Seau. Point that out and you get Ralph Cramden-like hummna-hummna-hummna garbage.

There are still things that need fixing in Cincy, but Rome wasn't built in 1.8 seasons. Next year ought to be fun.
