ShulaSteakhouse
TJ is there to pick up the slack when someone else is not getting open and have the occasional big game. He is not an overly consistent guy, but could be the best #3 WR in the NFL possibly.you can tell he and Palmer have a good repetoire on the field. This team is on the brink of having an offensive dynasty for years - they need to bring back TJ and Rudi and hopefully have a healthy Warrick next season. Keeping drafting defense and bring in a FA or two if needed to supplement on that side...spend the FA money on re-signing these guys and keep the continuity/momentum going.People saying we should let Rudi or TJ go are clueless. This franchise has seen way too much roster turnover the last several years to be consistent - time to put a stop to that. I find it funny that after playing Baltimore on the road and only getting 19 carries, people are already jumping off the Rudi bandwagon a week after he has a 200 yard rushing game.People: They were playing from behind the entire game by multiple scores against one of the best defenses there is on the road. There was nowhere for Rudi to run - Walter freakin' Payton wouldn't have had a 100 yard day.
jjakq27
I agree Shula. Rudi had 13 carries in the first half. Not many after that.

Not to mention the fact that opposing defenses are still in "stack the box, stuff the run, make the rookie QB beat us" mode. Given Palmer's performance over the last couple of games, I have to think that's due to change, and it will be interesting to see how the running game goes once defenses are forced to respect the pass. Kirkendall
Not to mention CP's 80% completion rate and 1,50432.25 QB rating. But has anyone noticed the change in offensive strategy? A lot more quick out, high percentage passes, which is more than fine with me. Quick outs and 3-4 passes work just as good as a run between the tackles. OK ok, it was knee jerk. Now that I have time to reflect.... (ps, I actually didn't think anyone read those)...

LOL Kirk....At least you can admit it was knee jerk! The biggest reason for the increase in TJ's receptions and yardage, as well as the improvement in Palmer is that instead of trying to throw into double coverage to Chad, he now throws to TJ, who is making the catches. Both TJ and CJ miss a few they should catch, but they are consistently playing well.
