HoosierCat Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 Early injury line from bengals.com...Lewis said cornerback Deltha O’Neal (elbow) and running back Chris Perry (abdomen), who missed Sunday’s game, have a good chance to play this Sunday against Cleveland ... Running back Kenny Watson may be the most limited once practice starts Wednesday ... The Bengals lost fifth-round pick Maurice Mann when the Dolpins signed the rookie wide receiver off the practice squad. Mann is the first of the 11-member 2004 draft class to leave the club. Earlier in the season, defensive end Elton Patterson, a seventh-rounder, bcame the only player from the nine-member '03 draft to leave when he was signed off the squad by Jacksonville. So 18 of Lewis's 20 picks are still with the club in some capacity ... NEXT OPPONENT: CLEVELANDIn Cleveland, quarterback Jeff Garcia has a strained rotator cuff that forced him to sit out the second half against the Jets and he's questionable Sunday against the Bengals. Browns head coach Butch Davis called Garcia day-to-day, and said “our expectation, hopefully, is that Jeff will be able to go.” ... Kelly Holcomb figures to get the start if Garcia can't, but they also have a fourth-round pick waiting for a shot in Luke McCown ... Browns right tackle Ryan Tucker is done for the season with a torn medial colateral ligament and a partial tear of the lateral meniscus in his left knee. Quote
WhoDey93285 Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 I would like Garcia to be out. That and playing at home we have a good shot to get our only division win of the year. Quote
jditty47 Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 i want garcia in there. we are gonna stop those bitches with or without him. Quote
turningpoint Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 DUDE i want holcomb so bad, i think we'll break the frnachise record for sacks, with holcomb in there, we got 7 vs a stout Steelers o line, were not playing the browns minus their best O line man, they gonna get raped. Seriously i'm gonna be let down if double digits in sacks isn't reached next week. Quote

Scottishbengal Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 DUDE i want holcomb so bad, i think we'll break the frnachise record for sacks, with holcomb in there, The number of sacks racked up will relate to the O-line, not the QB. Got a s**t O-Line, take the sacks, no matter how good or bad the QB is (generally) Quote

schweinhart Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 I'd like to see Perry line up at receiver some. Guy can definitely run routes and catch the ball. Then let him prove he's good enough not to be Watson's back-up. Quote
turningpoint Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 saME HERE, he looked like the 2nd best wr on the team when he was in wr formations. He ran crisp out routes and burnt the db 2x and made 1 great leaping catch, and was immediatly hit after making the tough catch and held on. I say convert him to wr. Quote
bengals200485 Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 If Perry plays I say he will proberly be used as WR more then anything this week. That woud help the passing game and palmer out alot and put more points up !!!!GO BENGALS!!!!! Quote
Jonboat Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 Cool, I'm really looking forward to finally seeing Perry! I seen the Clowns are starting Holcomb. GO BENGALS!!! Jonboat Quote

chrishcovga Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 I want to see Perry run the damn ball!! We've waited basically all season to watch him prove he has # 1 running talent. " Jim Anderson " said the guy reminds him of James Brooks, well then proove it. Cause 'ol JB may have been the greatest Bengal back ever. Tough, quick, elusive, and could catch as well as any receiver on the field. Let's see Perry do that, and then maybe ( just maybe ) I won't blast Cincy for having to draft another running back next season! Quote
JPW Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 Tough, quick, elusive, and could catch as well as any receiver on the field. This is what they believe they have in Perry...a RB who can Catch as well as he can Run.He should be especially useful with Warrick out... Quote
