Sox
Right as the game was ending two groups of Steeler fans openly taunted the Bengals fans.Sure it pissed me off,but my group just ignored it.The group to my left didn't.They were face to face, especially two of them.Lotsa of jawing and bumping, but no punches. They were walking down the steps on opposite sides of the railing, and still bumping HARD into each other sides over the railing, when the Steeler fan's girlfriend(big girl)shoves the Bengal fan from behind and sends him falling down the concrete steps, then the chairs, and finally into the metal railing-at least nine rows. The Steeler couple sprinted out as fans were trying to point them out to security.I was 20 rows back or I would have sat on her until security arrived. This guys face was totalled.Looked to me that at the very least he had a fractured cheekbone and arm,and the way he bounced off of the steps, probably some ribs also.He was taken out on a stretcher.I am angry beyond belief.I take a girl who is a Bengals fan,on our second date to a game, and she gets to see this. ShulaSteakhouse
Why would someone even bother to respond to that kind of nonsense? Some blowhard idiot starts acting like a child when i'm there about "you suck" and all that crap i just ignore it and walk on. who cares? It's just a stupid football game for God's sakes. That's terrible what that woman did and I hope they catch them and sue the hell out of her, but, some things you just have to ignore and walk away - fighting over a pro football game is the stupidest thing i've ever heard of.It's amazing people take this stuff that seriously. WhoDey42
I saw something like this at the Bengals-Ravens game earlier in the season. Definately not nearly as bad as this incident sounds but still its was pretty stupid.
Kirkendall
I saw something like this at the Bengals-Ravens game earlier in the season. Definately not nearly as bad as this incident sounds but still its was pretty stupid. Fans mimic the players it seems. The state of sports is getting really violent, but let's be fortunate we're not as fanatical as international soccer fans. Those guys are INSANE! jamesbrooks21
There were two Steeler fans taunting some bengal fans as we walked out of our section too. I was so damn pissed that i wanted to hit the bastards too. I maintained a little self-control but a couple other bengal fans didn't - they threw a beer right in their face. I would be lying if i said i didn't love every minute of it.
jjakq27
I was on Central Avenue last night after the game and I saw a Steeler fan get arrested (which I enjoyed). THe police were holding the crowd back from crossing the street so traffic could get out and this Steeler fan stepped out into the street and started walking without a care in the world. A car stopped about five feet from him and layed on the horn. The guy started jawing with the driver and a cop on a horse came over and started yelling at the guy. Of course he responded back and by then a cop on foot grabbed him. The crowd went nuts.I wish their fans could be a little more humble instead of inciting people. I got a kick out of all of the long faces among the Steeler fans in our section during the first half. After the INT TD they were starting to yap it up so I asked one guy if he was at the game here last year or came today because they are winning this year. I was given a two word answer. I'll let you figure it out.I hate to tell them but the Steelers are not going to the Super Bowl. They struggled to beat our lowly Bengals. Good luck against NE or Indy this year in the playoffs.

Sox
The sad part is it shouldn't have happened. Those two were both wusses. They were drunk and angry, but neither really wanted to fight, they were all bluster and noise. It would have ended when they seperated at the bottom of the steps, but that shove from behind took it to a whole new level. Turi
You guys really have got it lucky over there regarding sports. I'm glad these incidents are rare. I can't believe they allow rival fans in such proximity. That's why I can't wait to get to see some real NFL in action.I went to a local rivalry soccer game here just a few weeks ago and it was chaos. The town got trashed, windows put through, main pubs have to close, there was fighting, people getting kicked out of the game and this happens year after year. All this for a game with a sell out croud of 9000. That's no typo, 9 thousand, that's it.
Sox
There was one funny part.On the walk back to the car,Lisa points and says,"Hey look, they've already named a bar after that guy!"It was The Headfirst Lounge, lol. kuykendall
Man I am sorry to hear that. All I can say is that not all of us Steeler fans are like that. Personally I would have jumped in and said something to the Steeler fans. There is no need or place for that type of ****. Again, sorry that you had to witness some a$$hole fans acting like that while you were there with your date.
BengalByTheBay
That's one of the worst things I've heard. Having been in many a stadium (including several Raiders games) as a fan of the visiting team -- I've seen a lot of confrontations. They always leave a bad taste in my mouth because, regardless of what happens(ed) on the field, it's still a freaking game. It doesn't make you any better or worse -- you didn't win or lose the game. For God's sake, when will people get over themselves.
