walzav29
This is the game of the year for the Bengals. This would be the confidence builder to propell them for the rest of the season. They'll need it with a brutal schedule stretch coming up. The confidence for these youngsters is the key to their success.
HoosierCat
Hey, the Bengals knocked off undefeated KC last year at home. I wouldn't install us as favorites but if our D keeps playing like it has been the last couple of weeks, we got a shot. :player:
skyline
Yeah, the Steelers are due for a bad week...their passing game has looked weak lately, so it'll be us v. Bettis.
jamesbrooks21
Absolutely they can win. Lets be honest though, this isn't a Dallas or Washington offense we have coming in here. The Jungle will be rockin' and hopefully they feed off that like the Monday nighter. We broke that Chiefs win streak last year and now its Rottenberger's 7-0 streak that dies. membengal
Well considering we should have won up at Heinz (terrible pass interefernce call against Tory on Plaxico turned that game), hell yes we can.
williamnminor
This game is shaping up to be just like the Chiefs last year. The Steelers are the talk of the league, and we are gaining some momentum, they are coming into our house where it will be crazy, WE WILL WIN.Last night on the news Chad said to donate a dollar at the door on Sunday for his fines because he is going to do something crazy.WE WILL BEAT THE STEELERS
The_Next_Big_Thing
It all comes dwn to crowd noise. Lets give Big Ben something to talk about after the game. Everyone there better bring their internal megaphones, and some cough drops because we need screaming and shouting the entire time that the Steelers are on the field. The Bengals secondary is playing as well as anyone in the league right now, so it comes down to pass rush and run defense/gang tackling Bettis. I think we can do it, because we need to.
chrishcovga
Last Seasons' win against the Chiefs was a statement Game. We showed the rest of the NFL that the Cincinnati Bengals were the " bungles " no more. * Now; having been put in the same position ( 4-5 vs. an unbeatable foe ) this year at home our statement to win this game should be Carson Palmer's Coming out party!- We need a big game from CP, I'm talking about a 20 of 28 for 275 and 3 tds and no interceptions. The only way we're going to be able to run the ball against the steelers front 7-8 is for Carson Palmer to make them pay in our 1 on 1 matchups that he should see pretty often. Bob Bratkowski has to be aggressive and move CP around a lot to counter the blitz. Move him out of the pocket and let Carson show off his athleticism and ability to be an accurate passer on the move; the same way he did at USC. - more carries for Kenny Watson! - use the steelers overaggressive scheme against them with quickness and agility.- Blitz Rothlesberger and the run. Our secondary is playing well enough that we can gamble against them. - Force the Steelers to try and slow us down, Play with a lead early. Make Big Ben impatient and keep the turnovers coming. :player:
jamesbrooks21
Keep those Steeler fans out of PBS too! Watching the Cleveland game Pitt. had a bunch of fans there. I hope some Bengals fans don't sell their tickets to them.

I would expect Steelers fans will find tix a little harder to come by in Cincy than they are used to.
WhoDey42
I really think that we will win this game. The atmosphere in PBS, after winning these last two games, will be like the Monday night. The Bengals will be in the record books for ending Rothlisburger's rookie streak.I wish I could be at PBS for the game...but those of you who are there, don't let the damn Steelers fans even be heard on TV. There's probably gonna be a lot of them from Oxford there supporting Rothlisburger, but hopefully they'll be sitting on their hands the whole game after Tory and Deltha welcome him to the Jungle by pickin off a couple of his passes. Call me a homer...but the Bengals will win this week. :player: GO BENGALS! :player:
cdnbengals_fan
I'm not exactly expecting the Bengals to win, but they definatly have a chance. Steelers are a great team, but Cincy's on a roll, and if the D can play well like they have, and the O at least gets the job done, we're good to go. I just hope they come out and play Pittsburgh tough...if there going to lose I hope its in a close one, but they can win for sure, its not un-realistic. This is a huge game, 5-5 and they got momentum after beating Pitt with 3 in a row, but 4-6 is hard to bounce back from. Go bengals :player:
jjakq27
We had a chance to beat them in the first game. Weren't we up 17-14 in that one? It makes you wonder how our season and theirs might be different if we win that one.I know alot of people are looking at this one as a repeat of the KC game last year but I am not so sure. I expect Pittsburgh to run all day on Sunday. If our D can stop them early then I think we can win. Getting behind and having Uncle Dick blitz all afternoon would be a bad thing. We were able to excorcize one demon from the past yesterday (Mark Brunnell) and maybe we can shut down another one (Bettis) this Sunday.Hopefully the home crowd will be the difference just like the Denver game this year! Unfortunately a lot of Steelers fans buy the 2 game packs for the Pittsburgh game here in Cincy and make the drive and sell the other ticket on Ebay each year. I would expect Steelers fans will find tix a little harder to come by in Cincy than they are used to. Not to mention that 6 of the 8 home games were sold out before the season started. My first game I went to at PBS was a Steeler's game. You couldn't tell if we were home or away. The nerve of those fools to waltz in our stadium like that.ARGH
San Antonio Bengal
I really believe this game will come down to turnovers. If we continue our trend of three or so takeaways/game and CP doesn't make the Rookie Mistake this week, we should win.
BengalszoneBilly
I expect Pittsburgh to run all day on Sunday. If our D can stop them early then I think we can win. Hopefully the home crowd will be the difference just like the Denver game this year! Well if the Cincy "D" could contain the Bronco's Reuben Droughns, they could very well do so against Jerome Bettis! Also the home crowd would have to be as rowdy for this game as they were that Monday night...then MAYBE, just MAYBE the Bengals can get some revenge for the loss earlier this season! :player:
Bobcat Bengal
The Bengals have played the Steelers WAAAY too many times to be in awe of them. Hopefully, our guys will take it as another hard-fought division game and take care of bidness.

HoosierCat
Home dogs again. Early line on the game (per americasline.com) has the Steelers installed as 4-point favorites. Of course, considering that they just beat NE and Philly, that could be read as a rather tepid endorsement. O/U is a rather high (IMHO) 43. kevnz
Damn. Only 4 point dogs? I expected to be at least a touchdown underdog at home. Could the Bengals, gasp, be earning a bit of respect
WhoDey42
Wow, 4 points is very surprising. I'm not sure if i like this whole respect thing lol

BengalsMan3203
All we gotta do is contain the bus or staley. What ever one plays. Let them get their 100 yards between the 20's-20's. Hold them to FG. Rough up Big Ben a lil and cause a lil turn over action and I think we can come out on the Smiliing Side of the Score Board. HoosierCat
My keys to this game:1. Run, Rudi, Run. Rudi's best day all year so far was his 123 yard outing (5.1 yard/rush avg., 1 TD) against the Steelers at the Big Ketchup Bowl. That was actually a smidgen better than Staley. We need Rudi to roll again and keep the pressure off Carson.2. Protect Palmer. The o-line has been superb the last two weeks; they need to keep it up. Pitt had little luck getting to Palmer the first time around, sacking him just once for 8 yards.3. Remember Troy Polomalu Is Not A Bengals Receiver. Just a reminder, Carson, just a reminder.4. No More Pitt Homer Officials. Leading 17-14 in the fourth, the Bengals stop a Pitt drive and force a FG...oh, wait, no they don't, a Steeler Homer disguised as an official calls a phantom pass interference call on Tory James, giving Pitt the ball at the 1. Instead of a 17-17 tie, it's 21-17 on a Bettis run and then Carson pick seals the game.5. What BengalsMan said:All we gotta do is contain the bus or staley. What ever one plays. Let them get their 100 yards between the 20's-20's. Hold them to FG. Rough up Big Ben a lil and cause a lil turn over actionWe did that the first time around, snapping up two Pitt fumbles and converting them to points. They did get 165 total rushing yards...on 40 attempts, a grinding 4.1 average. We also held them to 50% on 3rd down conversions. What we need to do is what we've done the last couple weeks and add pressure on Cheeselisburger to the mix; we only sacked him once last time.
