Kirkendall
honestly i don't care about justin getting busted for a dui if i was playing on that d-line i would be getting drunk too.Woah. Did you just steal my line? (just kidding) BTW - I'm walkin' the plank with my Captain. Does that mean I'm just as dumb and stupid as Smith? (I'm not driving obviously)
Barbarian
Y'all give it a rest. He wasn't drunk, he had a couple of beers and drove home a .15 isn't much, two maybe three beers in an hour will do that. Now it's stupid as hell to do, I ain't saying that. But it's not like he was tanked up. Dumb yes, drunk no. Na-uh!!!! At Justin Smith's size, he'd have to drink wayyyyy more than this!!!Try 6-8 beers. Maybe even more. Smith was seriously drunk when he got into his car and tried to drive to Cincy.

I doubt he had just started. All that being said, I don't really care, I've driven drunk before, I'm sure I probably will again. At least it was at 3 AM, not like 11 when the roads would be a lot more crowded.

BengalBobNC
JJ: Check out the other thread on Justin: Justin Smith on Bengals.comAs far as him having to be pounding beers to blow a .155: I always thought if you had recently had a beer you would have a high number. A blood test is more conclusive. Falling down during the sobriety test is pretty conclusive too! (Justin didn't, was just stating a fact. Like watching a COPS episode. "Have you been drinking tonight Sir? <hickup> "Who me?")
whatwhatwhat
It is not like he stabbed someone to death outside the super bowl or had a haggard ass dead hooker in his trunk or even that he had 15 kilos of crack on him. He was at a bar and drove home like everybody else does at one time or another. He is still the best player on the team and plays hard day in and day out. No wonder the Bengals suck...no one wants to play for s**tty ass fans who fold like a wal-mart camp chair just because a player made one mistake. What else has this guy done but out worked everyone day in and day out. So he was blowing off some steam. Cheers to the Bengals and to Smith for keeping it real. At least he showed up within the next couple of days and apologized. There are s**ttier people than that on this message board. As for going to Dayton to simulate Missouri...I have been to Missouri and at least their women have teeth and don't smell like sourkraut! BengalszoneBilly
He was at a bar and drove home like everybody else does at one time or another. Yep. I've done it. There's just no other way of getting the old car back to the house now is there? Most people I know don't go out for some drinks just to see how well they'll do on the test later! The retarded aspect from this guys' perspective is that it's ok to drink and drive AS LONG as you work hard at your job. Oh, and I love how: There are s**ttier people than that on this message board.Way to go buddy.

whatwhatwhat
Didn't know you guys took everything verbatim. I guess I should have clarified "everybody has drove home from a bar at one time or another", with everybody has driven drunk at one time or another. Sorry to confuse you monkeys. It is not ok to drink and drive but at least treat it like anyone else. He will get more punishement than the average joe plus you pieces get to write on a message board about it. Next time you have your ..... in each others ..... maybe you can whisper something nice about your Bengals and not be some homos about one little thing. He's only 25 for christ sake. BengalSIS
I can't even believe what I'm reading. Anyone who thinks that "everyone" has driven home drunk at some point is well.......I won't even say it. NO, not everyone has. There are those who are more responsible. And drinking two beers and driving home is not the same as having 6 and driving home. I for one have never driven home with ANY alcohol in my system. I always plan an alternate ride if I drink. And when my husband drinks, I don't and I drive. When I went to college, I was DD for my friends. Or my friends took cabs.... I had to argue with a roommate who wanted to drive home after drinking because she didn't want someone else driving her car. After we all ganged up on her, she relented. It's a no brainer. I hope that innocent child you kill when you cause an accident haunts you for the rest of your life.I don't know that will happen you say? Well, you can't say it won't.Or maybe the mother or father you paralyze will be able to get help raising their children. You need to grow up. You can't change your past, but admitting you will drive drunk again - just plain stupid.
Kirkendall
Next time you have your .... in each others ..... maybe you can whisper something nice about your Bengals and not be some homos about one little thing.Little thing? I've had two very close friends killed in separate drunk driving accidents. One was driving, the other someone slammed into him. I've driven home drunk before while in college. I haven't gotten on Smith for driving drunk; but your justification is the dumbest thing I've ever seen -- and yes, I do take this very seriously. He will get more punishement than the average joe plus you pieces get to write on a message board about it.No he won't. If he is then he'd get three days over the weekend and have to go to WIP -- weekend intervention prevention. I haven't heard anything yet. This topic has been deserted for about 10 days before you brought it up. I'm curious, why did you start it back up and why are your only two posts on this subject? PS, watch your obscenities; kids come to this site also.
kybengalsfan
For the record, there are about 20,000 citizens killed each year on the highways as a result of a drunken driver. As a former police officer, I have seen my share of fatalities. Thus, I have little tolerance for those who take it lightly.
