HoosierCat Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 C'mon defense! Just keep them from scoring for 31 seconds. Gotta keep the margin at 4 going into the half! We're good.D seemed to settle down after those first couple series.Offense still needs to score some points. The D's actually the only reason they've got anywhere, giving them short fields. Ask our O to drive the length of the field and they can't.Nice to see Kelly Washington is alive, tho... Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 These 1st half stats just blow me away: 11 out of 17 for 132 yds and 1 TD from Ben Roethlisberger.6 out of 15 for 59 yds and 1 TD from Carson Palmer. The Bengals defense is making Big Ben look way too good. If Cincinnati wants to avoid going to 1-3, they're going to have to limit the Steeler QB to about 200 yds MAX! Quote
EdwardG Posted October 3, 2004 Author Report Posted October 3, 2004 It's good to see Rudi running strong on the road. Quote
vettespd20 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 good catch chad and good drive so far :player: Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 YES!! 1st and goal!! :player: Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Nice drive!!! Bengals take the lead with a Rudi TD. Palmer got lucky twice but came back and made the plays he had to. Nice little quick flick dump to TJ in stride - that is impossible to stop when he has time to throw. Otherwise I wish he'd start getting rid of the ball quicker. Quote
vettespd20 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 With a little luck but still a great drive!!! They also did a good job attacking and didnt give up. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Great, great statement made there by the offense on the opening drive!! Now if the defense can do the same! Quote
HoosierCat Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 OK...the minute I post the O hasn't shown it can go on a long drive and get into the end zone, it goes on a long drive and gets into the end zone.So let's try the voodoo again...this O has yet to show it can win a game by three scores... Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 You've got LB's covering WR's, ugh.Fuuumble!!! Bengals missed tackle but strip and get it back! Quote
schweinhart Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Here's to big Duane for causing the fumble. At least he made 1 play this game so far.Red zone execution looks good so far for Bengals.Chew up the clock and let Rudi do want he wants to do, which is to ram the ball down the throats of this very average Steelers D. Quote
EdwardG Posted October 3, 2004 Author Report Posted October 3, 2004 So let's try the voodoo again...this O has yet to show it can win a game by three scores..Hey ya - the O has yet to show it can score on the next play. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 I knew I picked Rudi #5 over-all in my fantasy league for a reason! He's a beast today, the difference in this game. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 We're up 2-0 in the turnover department! We've won every game so far that we held that advantage! Let's get another score! :player: Quote
EdwardG Posted October 3, 2004 Author Report Posted October 3, 2004 Well, that didn't last long. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Just throw the ball, Watson fumbles it away to Pitt. Ugh. Bengals choking away their chances again. Quote
schweinhart Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 That was 4 down territory. Don't mind running Watson on 3rd and short but when Rudi is psyched out of his skull, you got to give the dog the bone. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Meanwhile our friend Dillon has a 2.9 ypc average today, 29 yards, a TD and a fumble at the 4 yard line so far. Rudi is 22 for 102 and a TD, at least some things are starting to look normal again. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Good job D, punt time for Pitt. Bengals ball. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Wow Perry lookin good catching the ball today so far. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Freakin' Schobel, man this team has some weakenesses. Quote
EdwardG Posted October 3, 2004 Author Report Posted October 3, 2004 Schobel is looking pretty worthless this season. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Uh, did Pitt really waste a TO there with 1 sec left in the 3rd? Stupid. Quote
