In this game, I'll be looking for a few things.

1. Can we stop the pass rush? Our offensive line at this point is a big question mark. We cannot beat teams if we get no protection for our young quarterback, and we have failed miserably in the last two games to protect our quarterback.

2. Will the defense show signs of life? Pittsburgh has plenty of talent on offense, and a Carson Palmer clone in Ben Roethlisberger. If our defense doesn't step it up, we might as well pack it in.

Kickoff is in less than three hours. The game is on CBS in Columbus.

Hopefully Rudi and/or Chris can break out this game and keep the defense from teeing off on Palmer.

Since we can't form a pass rush, it would be nice to know that we can at least stop one. I like Steinbach a lot, but I'm a bit worried that he's playing LT.

And if/since we can rush the passer, we absolutley must play better run defense.

And for the love of Terry Tate, TACKLE SOMEONE THIS GAME!

Keep tabs on Duce Staley, and especially the Short Bus, Jerome Bettis. (it seems like hes only in the league just to f**k with us still) The Steelers have a good WR corp, but Hines Ward is Big Time Burger Ben's favorite target, so look for the O'Neal/Ward matchup in this game to be a key factor.

I'm going to a bar predominantly occupied by Steelers fans, and if we play like we did last week, I think I might be sick.

It's a tough game to make a call on. If Levi can go and play effectively, that will give me more confidence in the offense, but if we have to go with Steinbach at LT and a gimpy Moore at LG, Carson better be ready to dump the ball a lot...and of course his No. 1 dump-off target, Warrick, may be out or limited, too. If Rudi can get going that would help, too, but a busted-up o-line won't be opening many holes.

If the line can give Carson time, we should be able to score; Pitt's secondary isn't anything special. But by hook or by crook, we have to find the end zone -- multiple times -- today. We are not going to win if all we get is 3 or 4 FGs, I don't care how well the D plays.

On defense we could be looking at up to three rookies on the field at the same time, including both safeties. Ward and Burress must be salivating. Our only hope is forcing Cheeseligsburger into some errors. Obviously, we have to stop the run, and I agree with Terry: Duce doesn't worry me half as much as Bettis, who's made a career out of chewing us up.

I'll go with 23-20 Bengals...but I'll admit that's just me hoping real hard...c'mon guys, git r done. :player:

Pitt is 9th in the NFl against the run, 95 yards a game (I hate our division) so Palmer's gonna have to work some magic, but most importantly the defense has to, obviously, bother to show up and play with enthusiasm unlike last week.

Apparently Warrick did not make the trip to Pittsburgh.

Wonderful (not). Oh, well, maybe now at least they'll throw to Schobel outside of the two-minute drill.

Now its become clear as to why they bought Cliff Russell off of the practice squad.

Maybe he'll be a factor in today's game. I'd like to see all that speed go to good use.

He has a shin bruise and didn't even make the trip???? I wish Marv or someone with the Bengals would clear us up on what exactly is wrong with one of the team's stars after all this time. His absence is killing the offense, and his PR abilities are sorely missed.

well im hoping for 2 things really a good show by the offence especially the O-line they need a good pass deffence today.

and a much better performance from the defence altho the seconday could have a problem if burgerboy connects as i dont see much from 2 rookies at saftey.

but then again they may have a great day i really do hope so

GO BENGALS!!!!! :player:

CJ would've caught that. Palmer looking a little INT shy on that last pass. Hopefully they spread the ball around a little more this week. Eye-balling TJ all day isn't going to last forever.

Fuumblllee! Staley burns 10 Bengals and loses it...
