Henry is a good pickup. I could see him sticking around even after Murphy returns.

Henry is an interesting pick up.
When drafted he was thought to be an above average rotational guy (see backup), which we could certainly use with or without Murphy being out for a bit.  Maybe teaming him back up with Murphy helps both of them out moving forward.

Nothing on Marshall going anywhere at this point.  Still hoping until I can't, even though I'm not expecting it.

I mean, we're looking to add a RB, so it makes no sense to me to drop one

They really, really, really need to add a veteran NT

They can hope all they want that McKinley Jackson will be good to go by game 1, but

1. he's a rookie. and

2.  if he ain't ready, Rankins and Tufele are NOT nose tackles, even tho the depth chart lists them as such (1 and 2, respectively)

Now I'm guessing that's not the case and should get a NT as well, but just saying is all...

Seriously, that’s the reason. Williams has enough time that he doesn’t go to waivers, he’s just a FA. And since he sucks, no one is going to offer him a big contract. So he’s completely safe to release.

After the waiting period they will bring him back on the PS, then over the next three weeks they will play the call him up/send him down game. By the time they have to open a roster spot for him in week four someone will likely have been hurt and gone to IR, so they’ll be a spot. (And in the happy event that doesn’t happen they will have a better idea of who they can live without.)
