BengalszoneBilly Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 This is one of my favorite number non-football times of the year. College hoops have their conference tournaments this weekend which leads into the NCAA Tourney on Tuesday. Time for filling out brackets in company pools and to watch some really good basketball. Is anyone else down with this, or is it just me? Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 I'm in on it Billy. While I'm only moderately following college hoops during the season (see local teams) it picks up for me at the end of the season. My Xavier muskies haven't had the season they expected, but should still make it to the field of 64. UC will certainly be there and the Northern Kentucky Norse punched their ticket the other night. Fun times !!! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted March 9, 2017 Author Report Posted March 9, 2017 I'm happy NKU made it finally. I was a student there briefly before I went into the Marines. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 My sister just finished her Master's there and is pretty pumped up. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 Well my Xavier Musketeers just upset Butler to get to the Big East semis. Tough conference there !!! 1 Quote

BengalszoneBilly Posted March 13, 2017 Author Report Posted March 13, 2017 Poor Norsemen. Their first game in the dance is against the Wildcats. They will experience the Bengals effect. Make the show only to be shown the door. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 I saw that as well. What a tough draw that was. Welcome to the dance !!! Buh bye !!! Quote

BengalszoneBilly Posted March 18, 2017 Author Report Posted March 18, 2017 Sadly the Dayton Flyers go one and done in the NCAA Tournament. There are rumors Marvin Lewis was sitting behind their bench for support. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted March 18, 2017 Author Report Posted March 18, 2017 Okay, time for Kentucky vs Northern Kentucky. Five McDonalds All Americans playing five guys who eat at McDonalds. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 18, 2017 Report Posted March 18, 2017 NKU loses by 9. That's pretty respectable. UC took care of business against Kansas St. last night as well. I'll be rooting hard for my Xavier Musketeers today !!! Quote

BengalszoneBilly Posted March 18, 2017 Author Report Posted March 18, 2017 Northern Kentucky played a solid game against a far superior team. I like them a lot. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted March 18, 2017 Author Report Posted March 18, 2017 The first #1 team has fallen. Reigning champs Villanova lost to Wisconsin. Great game to watch! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 19, 2017 Report Posted March 19, 2017 My Musketeers are beating the brakes off of Florida St. 3 minutes left and up by 20. SO SWEET !!! Quote

Recorded the race so I could watch hoops, among other domestic duties that call. Michigan looks pretty hot right now. Could easily see them winning their region. 'Nova and now Louisville fall. Sometimes those super high seeding numbers can be too much for those youngsters to bear. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted March 19, 2017 Author Report Posted March 19, 2017 These are all good teams COB. Great games to watch! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted March 19, 2017 Author Report Posted March 19, 2017 And Big Blue comes through. On to the sweet 16 for the Wildcats! I don't like to be negative towards my Kentucky team, but I don't see a lot of wins from here. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted March 24, 2017 Author Report Posted March 24, 2017 Holy s**t! #11 Xavier knocks off #2 Arizona to go to the Elite Eight. If you guys didn't see this one, you missed a great game! Quote
COB Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 I missed that one, but saw the Michigan loss. They had that game and just blew it. Quote
