kingwilly Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Agree regarding rest. This stretch of the season cross down to resource mgmt and health for Sunday. Film and PT treatment, about all they need. Stretch, lift, study, get treatment, study....repeat.When is Still back?Really pleased with how well Gilberry has turned out. He's what I think they wanted Frostee to be but wasn't. Would also be nice to see Hunt get more time on the field.Seeing as Vinny has had a breakout game, also interested to see how they handle brining Ray M back. Also, James Harrison is now going to become a very valuable, experienced guy to step up. All is not lost on the D. Now is we can just get DreKirk to jump start his game, our secondary could get that much better. He was a r1 guy for a legit reason. Now it's time to rise up. Quote
GapControl Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 dave lapham said that andy dalton is leading the league in pass attempts. that is f**king ridiculous. Quote
volcom69 Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 That is awful, there is no way he should even be close to leading the league in passing. Quote
HoosierCat Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Oh it's not even close. Check out CHFF's Real QB Rating, which includes not just attempts but sacks and QB scrambles too./>http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/stats/2013/11/QBR/Sort by attempts. Cincy is No. 1 by 24. Even after the bye week we will easily be in the top 5. Quote
GapControl Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 i would say promote hue jackson to OC but he prefers Qbs who can throw the accurate, deep ball to set up play-action Quote
cincyhokie Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Not getting down by 16 or 17 points early in the game will help this cause. Quote

cincyhokie Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Crap. Though Crocker is more helpful in the run stopping area. The Browns suck at running the ball. Quote

Passepartout Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 Battle of two AFC North teams! Quote
combatbengal Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 Why in the world is everybody worried about our def. They've been beat up and are the only ones keeping us in games. It's the offense that we need to focus on. We got all those weapons and for some reason they aren't coming together and playing well! Dropping passes, passing thrown at birds instead of our players, penalties that kill drives, no sense of urgency, poor play calling, bad pass protection, route running mistakes, bad QB decisions, three and outs. Scottishbengal Posted November 15, 2013 Author Report Posted November 15, 2013 Just had a quick peek at The Browns Board and generally the Cleveland ans are thinking they have got the W on Sunday. Some comments irk me :angry:/> and I'll enjoy the first Bengals core dis-proving the shut out theory :sure:/> , and i'll enjoy the Bengals win effectively ending Clevelands season even more :lmao:/> :lmao:/> :lmao:/> 1. Campbell Soup plays consistent once again, a game against a soft and dulled down Bengals d (though they still looked decent against BAL, but they still were facing a struggling Baltimore offense). The clean passing consistency from Campbell must continue. Gordon can get behind these Bengals dbs, so Little and Bess also catch the ball and stay consistent. 2.Defense stays aggressive and inspired. Haden and Buster are both looking good, Owens is solid. Sacking Dalton and making him uncomfortable means he cant do jack s**t, as Baltimore learned. You know Horton was watching how horrid Dalton is under pressure. Front 7, get after the redhead. PICK SIX CITY3. Offensive line needs to keep Campbell nice and shiny, cant have him hurt at all. Also the run game could use work and polishing for this game. Without Geno, the Bengals d line is strong but slow, a run game against the Bengals would give the Browns a strong boost in offensive production. Who do the Browns start at RB? Mcgahee has not done much. Oby and Fozzy seem like better choices at this point. 4. 4th downs, if the Browns get in a jam, and its a close game, Chud goes for it. If there is any instance of this situation Sunday, Chud will take the chance, and they've done it 10 times already this year.5.Besides the miracle hail mary, the Bengals played like s**t Sunday. The defense played admirably against a lacking offense, but they still lost. so if CIN cant shake the penalties, hurt defensive struggles and red headed overthrows at home, I think this could even be a blowout and a huge boost for Clevelands morale and season.P.S.the bungles are undeafted at home? does this matter, does that s**tty stadium really help their chances? if the D plays like they have been nooo way. I think this is a surprising shut out that makes that stadium and its fans absolutely pissed and it burns to the ground.Wishful thinking but I believe some sense and evidence is applied to it at least. They get a win every four games and it goes right to their heads. They truly believe they are the best team in the AFCN. With a Bengals win (likely) and a Steelers win (possible) they'll be right back in the basement at 4-6. Delusion is all they have in the last 10 years of futility. It's not happening for them this season. Quote

Any team that virtually has a MUST WIN game in week 11 of the season is not in good shape, at all. The remainder of their schedule is brutal. I tried to tell this to a Browns fan and he just didn't want to hear it.All of this hype has much less to do with the Browns actually recent success and more to do with the Bengals tripping up lately. All it takes is the Bengals to shake some of their funk and it's over. If the Bengals don't get down by 3 scores early in the game, commit 100 yards of penalties in the first half, and their O-line comes to play, this is a vastly different team.Enjoy the excitement while it lasts, Browns fans. HoosierCat Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 Why in the world is everybody worried about our def. Because it's getting to the point where you wonder if they will be able to get 11 guys on the field. The Bengals have already sent four defensive starters and one key rotation guy to IR (Lamur, Geathers, Atkins, Hall and Mays). Devon Still and Ray Manualuga don't look to be back until after the bye. Chris Crocker looks like a scratch for Sunday, Brandon Thompson is limping and Burfict is banged up. Against this casualty list they've signed just two fresh bodies, Boley and Randall. The former has barely been able to get on the field due to his own injury and the latter is a taxi squadder.IMO Zimmer has worked miracles to keep this D going and going strong, but at some point you run out of horses. I just hope that point isn't Sunday. Quote
