HoosierCat Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 For those wondering how those two TE sets are going to play out, Joe Goodberry spotted a two-TE seam they ran multiple times during preseason that will almost certainly be featured starting Sunday. Excellent breakdown with pics here:/>http://joegoodberry.wordpress.com/2013/09/04/breaking-down-a-bengals-play-two-te-seam/If they can get Eifert wide open like that on a regular basis he will set all kinds of rookie TE records. ArmyBengal Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 That was a great explaination of the 2 TE sets we are sure to see many of this season. It will also allow a check down in Gio coming out of the backfield. It's going to be fun to watch and something I think Gruden has wanted to do with the offense. redsbengalsbucks Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Gresham and Eifert should both have really good seasons. Who do you cover? Green and Sanu out wide and Gresham and Eifert in tight, with Gio or BJGE running a dump off route. Andy shouldnt have to go long as often this year, and I think that willhelp this team alot. I still want the bomb to a wideout every once in a while just not every time they need more than 8 yards on third down. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 I think this is going to be a very good year in regards to the efficiency of the offense. There will be many options for Dalton. Him saying it's all on him is absolutely right. Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 5, 2013 Author Report Posted September 5, 2013 Yup, the table is all set for Andy. Barring a rash of injuries, there's no excuse for him not to be successful. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Barring a rash of injuries, there's no excuse for him not to be successful.Yep, injuries or having a TE who has an entire game plan built around him fail so miserably on the biggest stage.Things like that really suck. Quote

That was the epic fail of all epic fails. Silver lining time - 1. It got us Eifert who looks to be really good. 2. It resulted in a renewed dedication and work ethic from Gresham. My glass is always half full! Quote

ArmyBengal Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Oh I agree about the seemingly new found dedication of Gresham. We saw it in the preseason and we had conversation about hoping it continues in the regular season. If he can do that, he has the capability to put the offense on his shoulders.I'm looking and hoping for that to happen.
