volcom69
thanks for the heads up Hoosier, I got to watch it. Man I love how Zimmer gets so pissed at his guys its great to see.Burfict is one aggressive guy out there, and very vocal I like it.
HoosierCat
That was like the bizarre non-sequitur episode let's listen to a bunch of guys talk about their girlfriends.Good game bits though. I see what Gruden was talking about with Eifert.Orson Charles getting a bit of the "Chase Coffman" treatment.Geno is like Bruce Willis in Unbreakable, his weakness is pools... volcom69
Yea I didn't think this episode was as good as the last, but it was still fun to watch.Im actually worried about Orson Charles, because I do like him and hoping he makes this team. They really want him there though, so guess will see what happens
HoosierCat
I can se them keeping both Charles and Connor with Orson as #3 TE/FB swing guy.

ArmyBengal
jking, you are the man !!!Liked the episode as well.LOVED the interaction between Hue and Charles when he told him he wasn't doing sh*t right and that if he doesn't get it together he would be gone.Charles response ?? "Thanks coach".Awesome. Reminded of me being in the Army, chewing up one of my Soldiers and having them give me a "Roger Sergeant" as they walked out. Also, for anyone with the thoughts that Josh Johnson will take over as the starter, this episode only confirmed everything I have said about him to this point in time. If Skelton figures out the terminology sooner rather than later, Josh Johnson might not be a concern. I still think he wins that spot, but won't give him more credit than he's due.Per Marvin ??“I’ve never seen so many incompletions. His accuracy is just horrible.”
combatbengal
I thought JJ-11 threw well in the game; lets see how he does this weeks with the Titans. Hunt is a beast! I wish they would had focused on the WR's more; that's some good competition. I'm hoping Dane makes the team; seeing that Hawkins is hurt. We'll be solid at FB! Another note, so far we haven't seen any crazy Rookie haircuts or pranks yet; hard knocks usually focuses on that. I feel that Whitworth needs to be on the field training (ASAP). Last year, it seemed as if he got at least one penalty a game!! Another thing I'd like to see is how Maualuga is doing at camp; is he stepping up and making plays? I really liked how they got on that rookie for knocking Dalton to the ground; even though he was shoved into the QB.What's really cool is that the players have that practice film on their IPADS!! HoosierCat
Lots of great nuggets I caught the second time around. Loved the Matt Ryan comment that Tony Gonzalez gets extra time off because he's like 50 years old. The whole pool scene is a riot. And I love after the singing act in the hotel hallway, they go to Marvinthe next day telling them this isn't a Girl Scout jamboree. Lol.The walk through field was hilarious. Watch out for fire ants and snake holes! Makes Spinney Field look like Yankee Stadium.Everything with Hunt was great, including Mikey wondering if he could make friends. "I must break you" and the bit about the ugly girls "those are all from Greece or someplace" had me on the floor.Mike Zimmer promising to get an Estonian language app...too funny. On the serious side the most interesting thing to me is how hands off Marvin appears to be. He is clearly in control but obviously has complete faith in Zim, Hue and Jay. Clearly they are the front line guys and Lewis is taking a higher level view. The only place you saw him step in was to tell Hue to give Connor some reps in the Falcons game. I approve wholeheartedly of this management style, if only because its my own: hire the best possible people and let them do their jobs. ArmyBengal
I thought JJ-11 threw well in the game; lets see how he does this weeks with the Titans. Outside of about 3-4 passes, the rest averaged right about horrendous.Honestly, horrendous might be too generous of a word to use.People loved what he did with his legs. I did. Kazkal
I got chills down my spine and a grin on my face when watching zimmer on his guys after giving up 7 in the first preseason game.
skyline
I enjoyed this one far more. The game film against Atlanta was fantastic and you're starting to see a more serious edge to things. The conversation between Hugh and Charles was one of those moments that I'm surprised we're allowed to see. It's a tough business.
Stripes
Very entertaining episode. The competitive spirit on the team is definitely healthy. It was nice to see Harrison interacting with the rest of the team in a positive way.
jjakq27
I think someone said it earlier but I wish I could address my employees like Coach Zimmer does. Wow.Loved Margus Hunt. Great sense of humor and perspective. Also enjoyed the interplay between the Gruden brothers. Coach ZImmer, Gruden and Jackson have high expectations and won't settle for less. That is refreshing. And Marvin seems completely comfortable and in charge. I just hope some of the game day stuff improves on his end this year. ArmyBengal
Another part I found amusing was the interaction between Newman and Pacman.Newman is talking about the ranking of which type of sports guy women like and places guys like him and Pacman 3rd or 4th on the pecking list.Pacman's response ??"I ain't never had a problem getting a chick" !!!Had me cracking up. kingwilly
I think episode 2 may be the best individual episode they've had.SO MUCH to like.Margus Hunt's girlie is huge, like him. They will have behemoth children....I like Burfict a lot. I like that he will be next to Harrison. That alone makes this year outright huge. All Rey has to do is be decent. Those two will do the rest.I am unsteady about our backup QB's. It is amazing how bad Josh Johnson's accuracy is. And how dim-seeming Skelton is. If Skelton can learn the offense, his arm is serious. If Josh can simply place the ball better, he is extremely dangerous. Its that, or we go shopping for a vet who gets cut. Matt Hasselback anyone?Gio is going to be a serious threat this year. Maybe RoY potential.Eifert looks like he will have some real chances, too. How can you effectively cover all thee weapons???????? freaking nightmare for D's they'll face.goodlord I'm jazzed about this season. More than in a long long time.Edit:Also, had to add the pool scene with the Beast Geno Atkins doggy paddling like a 5 year old is priceless. totally awesome. ArmyBengal
Funny thing about what Hard Knocks can put out there ??After going back and watching the first episode again, I saw something I didn't notice the first time around. When Adam Jones had his car break down, they showed them putting gas into the car and it hit me.Adam Jones lives right down the street from me.It's not like i'm headed over there for a cookout or anything or would both him, but just something I noticed. It's something else I could see why teams wouldn't want to do Hard Knocks. Giving up privacy, whether meaning to or not.
