Reds vs. Indians

Series started today and the Reds got the win 4-2 with Votto hitting a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 8th.

Why they were throwing to Votto in the situation is beyond me and he made them pay.

Yeah, that was a nice surprise. Votto seemed really off his game at the plate today, so I wasn't too shocked that they threw to him. Glad he proved us all wrong.

Throw to him ?? Sure. Throw a pitch right over the middle of the plate ?? Craziness.

Even on a bad day for Votto, pitchers can't be that silly.

It sure was nice to watch.

Funny thing about this 4 game series is, the first two are in Cincinnati and the second two are in Cleveland.

I thought it was a typo in the schedule at first, but that's how it's set up.

As far as I can tell, these two two-game series are it for the Battle of Ohio this year. We're getting jipped out of two games against those farts.

So the series shifts to Cleveland for the next two games after the Reds won 8-2 last night.

The Reds stranded 12 freakin' runners in the game. 12. Craziness.

Completely unrelated, but I'm watching the Cubs/Sox game. To be filed away under problems we're glad we no longer have...Adam Dunn. Currently the owner of a .154 BA. Today so far, 0-3 with 3K.

Suddenly Cozart feels like a hitting legend.

Somehow the Cubs have a positive run differential (+1) for the season. :blink:/>

Ondrusek on the mound now and the Reds down 5-1 in the bottom of the 7th.

The mighty tribe snaps a 5 game skid, gets the better of the Reds (finally). Jason Giambi, looking like the most grizzled old timey baseball player ever, cranked a 3 run homer in the 6th. Most importantly, Justin Masterson gets another win.

That was "one of those games" by Arroyo last night.

They happen.

Those two homers by Votto and Paul were absolute bombs.

Oh well, close it out tonight.

Well, this is what you get when you mess with the mighty, mighty Cleveland Indians. Bailey is so intimidating that the Tribe pulled Kazmir off the street and threw him out there and they still won. I probably need to work on my smack talking.

Anyway, the one thing I took away from this series: We want Choo back.

Yeah, the split of the 4 games after taking the first 2 isn't how I envisioned the series ending.

Oh well. Moving on to the next one...
