It's such a deep year for tackle. Even without Smith the Bengals shouldn't feel forced to take one in the first. One of those seconds could easily still net a first-round grade if things fall nicely.

Yeah, i've been keeping an eye on Brennan Williams since he suffered the shoulder injury.

He's still thought to be recovering, but again we still have Anthony Collins.

There are other guys the Bengals have looked at, like Fragel from Ohio St., but if they are going that route, just start Collins.

They're not going to draft his replacement. If Dre walks it'll be Collins and they'll likely draft another project like Collins was

Eric Winston is still out there.

He's 30 years old and made the statement he was looking for something in the 3-4 million per year range.

Maybe some professionalism out there wouldn't be a bad choice on a year or two deal.

Then again, maybe they don't want to get that old.

Spending half of what Andre wants should allow an easier road to travel with resigning MJ long term.

Specifically, it said the read option offenses and even offenses that aren't read option are going to a 3 step drop and getting the ball out quickly. Therefore using tackles to protect a quarterback deep isn't that important anymore.

I'd also say game has changed because teams realized you can't pay every single player 10million Dollars a year and if you want to contend for the Superbowl...Not only that but I'm sure all the 100million Dollar Bust Contract's didn't help

I've made the comment numerous times that I thought it was a distinct possibility that they wouldn't draft Dre's replacement in the first due to their thoughts on Collins. Many don't believe that, but it is what it is. Collins was never going to get playing time with Dre on the roster, but that's hardly a knock on his abilities.

Trade down in the first (if possible), pick up an additional low 3rd, and grab Brennan Williams out of UNC.

Him and Collins moving forward would be ok by me.

Screw 3rd Round 4th seems to be where we do our Magic in the Draft ^.^
