ArmyBengal Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 The Reds get the day off today and then start up a 3 game series with the Pirates Tuesday evening. For the series, the Reds send Bailey, Cueto, and Leake to the mound. My favorite thing about this series ?? The Reds won't be facing McDonald, who seems to have their number.I'm really looking forward to seeing this series and hope the Reds can put it on them.GO REDS !!! Quote

I don't believe they hit a single home run at PNC during the last series... Quote

He has been a beast for them this season, he has more teams number than just the Reds. Quote
Stripes Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 Agreed re: screw facing McDonald. It has been so frustrating watching this offense face him this year. It's actually pretty similar to what Charlie Morton did to the Reds the last year or two. Now they're hammering him though so hopefully McDonald takes his turn just the same next year. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 5, 2012 Author Report Posted June 5, 2012 Yep, hoping the McDonald thing figures itself out in time. Quote
Stripes Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 Bad day for Bailey. 6-2 Pirates in the 3rd. Quote
semiotter Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Reds need to play good onthis long home stand. It would really help put some day lite between them and the other clubs in the Div. Go Reds!!!! Quote

BengalszoneBilly Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Crap. Ondrusek comes in to relieve Cueto and promptly gives ap a 3 run homer. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 7, 2012 Author Report Posted June 7, 2012 Chapman shuts the door yet again and the Reds win 5-4. Quote
UK Bengal Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 If anyone other than chapman closed last night I would have been s**tting it. When he came in I had a big smile on my face Quote
Stripes Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 I have long been a loud supporter of having Chapman in the starting rotation. However, every time he goes out for a close and looks like the best closer in MLB history I struggle to complain. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted June 8, 2012 Report Posted June 8, 2012 Well there goes Chapmans perfect ERA. 5-4 Pirates in the 10th. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted June 8, 2012 Report Posted June 8, 2012 It seems Pittsburgh has our number this season... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 8, 2012 Author Report Posted June 8, 2012 Sucks to see Chapman finally look mortal, but he'll bounce back i'm sure. This might sound odd to say since he was still throwing in the high 90's but, he looked tired. The run seemed to shake him up a bit and yeah, the Pirates seem to be "that" team this season. BengalszoneBilly Posted June 8, 2012 Report Posted June 8, 2012 Sucks to see Chapman finally look mortal, but he'll bounce back i'm sure.No way was he going to keep a 0.00 ERA all year, but he's still pitching well. Just made a mistake last night. Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted June 8, 2012 Report Posted June 8, 2012 They have been that team for 2 years now Quote
