Spor_tees Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 According to Reedy Bobbie Williams is gone for 4 games for violating the leagues PED policy! Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Really? I would appeal that based on the plain fact that his performance hasn't been noticeably enhanced.Welcome to the starting lineup Clint Boling! Quote
volcom69 Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Wow now they really better look for a guard out there, or maybe trade for one. It is now a postion of need big time. Quote
kingwilly Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Jesus.Maybe now they can kick Fat Andre inside and go with Collins at RT?Or, will it be Boling? Seems like a risk to put Boling in there. How about Gurode as a guard? Quote
volcom69 Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Hmmm Anthony Collins at guard i think i would like that. I consider him one the best o-lineman they have and he never sees the field.I like Bobbie but its not like he has been great, so maybe whoever starts in place will be better then him. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise However he is a big locker room guy alot of guys like his attitude, so i dont see him going anywhere Quote
Spor_tees Posted September 3, 2011 Author Report Posted September 3, 2011 Reedy says there are more updates but I can't get the link to work :frustrated: Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Wow, those four wins from last year are really tainted. Will they have to vacate that record? Are they now 4* - 12 ?Looks like somebody wasn't expecting the strike to end so soon? Frankly I was expecting a fair number of suspensions league-wide. Quote
volcom69 Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Looks like the bengals knew this was going to happen. That would explain all the guard try outs this year, and get Boling in the starting line up early Quote

Spor_tees Posted September 3, 2011 Author Report Posted September 3, 2011 I'd have so much more confidence in this team if they had a better LG, Livings spends more time going backwards than Jeff Garcia in a kilbasa factory. Quote

Kazkal Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Wow now they really better look for a guard out there, or maybe trade for one. It is now a postion of need big time.Clint was drafted to be a future Starter I say play him,Now Nate Livings he wasn't even drafted so we still need look for a starting guard to replace him. Quote

Billy Bob with a concussion could block better than him. I heard the equipment manager bought stock in Proctor and Gamble after he saw Livings made the roster, cause he knows how much laundry detergent it takes to wash the back of Livings jersey after every game. HoosierCat Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Speaking of suspensions, the league might suspend Jim Tressel. Quote
volcom69 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Looks like the bengals knew this was going to happen. That would explain all the guard try outs this year, and get Boling in the starting line up earlyYep. Marvin said it was expected and planned for, and that Boling will start at RG vs. Cleveland.Actully according to Hobson Marvin never said who will be starting for the Cleveland game, so maybe hes not on the roster yetI think what will hurt the most with Bobbie being out, his is locker room presence, and how he gets the guys pumped up before games. So i wonder who steps up now and does that for the team, maybe Whit?? Quote
derekshank Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Actully according to Hobson Marvin never said who will be starting for the Cleveland game, so maybe hes not on the roster yetAccording to the depth chart on the site, Boling is still the backup for Livings.Starting at RG? Otis Hudson. ArmyBengal? Quote

I think they will get somebody, maybe they will go get Leonard Davis, or somebody like that till Bobbie comes back, but i just dont see Hudson startingForget that get Brian Walters before the Pats would sign him. He would be great here, a vet to help teach the young Guards, mean while he can help this team run the ball!! Go get him Marvin Quote
derekshank Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 There is no way Hudson starts he didnt even practice since week 1 of training camp. I wonder if he is still hurt??? Yeah. He's still hurt. Hobson said he probably won't be ready until late October. I just like to poke Army with a stick sometimes. Quote
volcom69 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Looks like alot of Guards are getting looked at right now, so i hope Marvin gets something going here, i would like to see a vet come in someone that can learn the system fast. This team is already young, they need a vet to come in here and help protect Dalton. Quote
Spor_tees Posted September 4, 2011 Author Report Posted September 4, 2011 Too bad they missed out on Robert Gallery in free agency. Quote

I would have guessed it would be Collins so I'll take it as a good sign that Boling has been as good as advertised. That said, if I could select only one player from the Browns roster it might be P.Taylor. Quote

I just like to poke Army with a stick sometimes.Honestly, even though I still don't like the pick, if he were to have come along to such a degree, I would be happy considering the state of the position. If he wasn't hurt, it would be as good a time as ever to prove himself. It's seriously to bad for him he's hurt. How we let Brian Waters sit and sit and sit without thought is silly. Then again, maybe he didn't want to end his career the Bengal way...
