combatbengal
The Steelers came into town and left with a win. But it wasn’t easy at all for them. We beat ourselves in the first half with special teams play, fought back and almost pulled it off in the end! Now we move ahead. I think we can turn this around and start winning games now! We play the Colts next and they’ve been struggling! We have a good chance of beating them. Then we move on to the winless Bills. That should be a win, however it won’t be easy because we always play at the level of the team we’re competing against. But we should win. Next we travel to the Jets on Thanksgiving. The Jet’s haven’t been playing stellar football and we owe them for last year’s losses. On Dec 5th the Saints come to town and they’ve been beaten this year so they can be beat! Then we go to PA to play the Steelers again. We should be on a roll by then and should win that one. After that we host the Browns. Now the Browns are playing tough and that new running back is a beast. But I think we can beat them too. Chargers come to town after the Browns and we should pick up a win there. Last game of the season we travel to Baltimore and take on the Ravens. That will be another tough game but we’ve already beaten them once. So, I think we can win the last 8 games of the season. We should end up with a 10-6 or 9-7 record! It’s not going to be easy but we can do it. Last night I finally saw some passion in the players. Palmer finally got off the bench and told the line off. Wit got onto chad about his temper tantrum and TO jumped all over Palmer for his bad throws. These guys are tired of losing and it’s finally showing.I know you probably think I’m crazy and yes we have a lot to improve on. But we took it to the Steelers last night! Finally showed some heart this season. This can be done!
jjakq27
I came away with a similar feeling. This is the most spirit I've seen in the team since the middle of last season when the beat the Bears, Ravens and Steelers in a row. It's been downhill since. If they beat Indy and come back and beat the Jets on a short week then you might be on to something. A game like that would have to get them excited considering all of the praise being thrown at the Steelers this year. Can't wait for the rematch. walzav29
The pressure is gone, the season looks lost but mathematically they are still alive. They got good production from the offense and defense. This time it was the special teams that failed. Take it one at a time and in theory they can go 8-0 (for the 1st time in franchise history). I'm all for it. I'll just say that if T.O. , Chad, Shipley, and Gresham get outplayed by Wayne, Tamme, Blair White and Pierre Garcon. I'm gonna have a stroke. COB
Let me listen to my "Up With People" records a few hundred more times, then maybe I'll be no board with the "season's not over yet" vibe.

kingwilly
Wow! The glass is half full huh?We are just south of mediocre, fellas...let's be realistic. The emperor has no clothes. The glass is half-full....of Antwan Odom's drug test sample. This team could play some good football into December but they will not "win out", in fact I doubt they win 3 more games. It is maddening that the Bengals pre-season runs for 3-4 months before they can execute for 60 minutes.I would submit, and several have mentioned as well, they need to start playing some young guys. Dunlap and Atkins did a bang up job, I thought, and Reggie Nelson made some nice plays in for Crocker. Would like to see Simpson split snaps with Chad. Also would like to see them bring Coffman up and get him into games. As well, might as well get Rey into the middle and retain Dhani as Asst LB Coach. 1.21 Jigawatts! walzav29
Come on! All the Bengals have to do is beat ColtsSteelersJetsRavensSaintsChargersBrowns BillsWhat's the problem? They almost came back in a few games this year. It's only a 5 game losing streak. Who wouldn't think we'd come back? Draft!
Sea Ray
The Bengals aren't going to the playoffs this year. It ain't happenin'. If they can still play ball worthy of us giving up our Sundays remains to be seen. If you are willing to watch for reasons other than reaching the post season, that's up to you. But to think that the stars may align in a way that this team might make the playoffs is pure folly.
HairOnFire
While it is technically correct to say the season isn't over it's only true because the Bengals are contractually obligated to play out the schedule. As for what's still possible, I'm no longer ruling out 2-14....and you shouldn't either.
OchoUno
Because they're the Bengals, that's reason enough to keep watching. My God, you wait and wait and wait for football season to start, anxiously grabbing onto any training camp meaningless fodder you can possibly find....and then you quit halfway into the season? If they can still play ball worthy of us giving up our Sundays remains to be seen. If you are willing to watch for reasons other than reaching the post season, that's up to you. Don't watch when they're losing and only watch when they're winning. Sounds like football Sunday isn't very special to you. Sounds like it has to be winning football Sunday. That's kinda sad. Even when Peter Warrick was our best player, I still watched every Sunday. I can't believe how many quitters there are. Find something better to do on your Sundays. Like rooting for the Giants or UK basketball.

HairOnFire
If you're not ruling out 2-14, then don't rule out 10-6. Too late. In fact, I've just ruled out 6-10. Any real fans out here today that support the team win or lose? I'm still here so I must still support them on some level. But not to the point that I'm willing to continue fooling myself about who and what this team really is and the changes that need to be made. Conversely, those of you who feel 10-6 is still possible are not only being delusional, but are standing in the way of the changes I'm hoping for. And yeah, in most other circumstances I'd normally demand "real fans" like yourself get the f**k out of the way. But sadly....in this example there's no rush. And there's no rush because the season effectively ended weeks ago whether you acknowledge it or not. Fight on.

And then everything changes from "this team sucks steamy cock and quit weeks ago" to "this team is on the right course, we're coming back, and take notice NFL!!!" right? One play. Ferocious Paws
I'm with OchoUnoGreen. I've been lurking for months and was just floored by the thread leading up to the game in which all of these so called Bengals fans were searching the forum for anybody who would take an avatar bet ON THE f**king BENGALS.Me? I may be delusional according to some of you, but I could never predict a Bengals loss with seriousness. I think this team is going to win every game. Every year I look and say, "we should win this game and then probably this game..." and next thing you know, I'm thinking they could go 16-0. I just cannot bet against the Bengals.Same reason I don't suck cock...I'm not a cocksucking faggot.

OchoUno
Fool, Peter Warrick was never the best player on this team. Yeah...he made plays alright. You could MAYBE say he was the best WR during the first two years, maybe only in the first year. Man, that whole draft sucked at the top. OchoUno
At least not during the Danny Farmer era.Danny Farmer gave is a good game against the team that drafted him, and for that I'll always be a little grateful. OchoUno
I don't know what Willy over there is thinking. When LeBeau took over the HC job, Peter Warrick was the best receiver on this freaking team.End of story.I'd rather discuss my nut sac right now, which feels like it got kicked in by James Harrison's illegal helmet, than talk about Peter F'ing Warrick. We're in a playoff chase here.
