Bengals Vs Falcons

UK Bengal

Well well well

Defence was awful there was no effort and once again a big fat 0 pass rush

Offence still no identity but it seems when they decide to throw the ball it can be good

special teams big f**kup which gave the falcons the winning score

overall I liked the heart that they showed to come back and take the lead but it seriously looks like no one is coaching this team if the offence can build on this and learn then something may happen. Defence needs a reality check they need to improve 100% or we can forget the playoffs let alone a winning record.

Im gonna try to remain positive. Somehow, so Ill start with some of the positives.

I think my man crush on Jordan Shipley became even more pronounced. We need to get every wideout on the field to watch him run routes and learn how to come back to the f'in ball. I believe he may be the most valuable wideout on our team right now. Carson had a great game. And was so much better when he called hisown plays. When they huddled and brat called the plays we had a failure wrapped in a crispy failure tortilla with failure sauce on the side. Honestly thats probably the best way to describe bratkowskis whole career. Kieth Rivers was in on a lot of plays today.

Andre Smith, I watched him extensively. How someone can be so dominant on 80% of the plays, then so aweful on the other 20% amazes me. The talent is clearly there though.

Nate Livings sucks. The defense was just plain sad. Our special teams were terrible all day. How long can we continue to be worst in the nfl in punt returns and not get Shipley involved? Way too many penalties. And the big negative.

Coaching. You had 2 weeks, 2 f'in weeks and thats how prepared you are? You have a false start on one play in the second half. Followed by a time out, followed by a too many men in the huddle penalty, followed by a sack. Are you kidding me. One other thing that stood out. Watching the goal line defenses. When the bengals had the ball the front 7 for the falcons attacked the line of scrimmage, straight at them. When the falcons had it, the bengals entire defenses first move was lateral. That is a scheme and I think it places zimmer right in the line of fire.

Final thought, its about time to get your 2011 draft board together.

This quote reminds me much of Marvin and Mike Brown's thought process, very delusional. Mentioning playoffs and this team

is crazy.

Its called having faith but we all know they wont change OC or SOG wont hire a GM or more scouts so faith is seriously wavering

I think we suck. We should take proactive measures to reduce our level of suck.

I disagree. I think we blow. We should take proactive measures to reduce our level of blow. ;)

We suck. We blow. We swallow. We smear the left-overs on our lips.

So clearly, the problem is a lack of Chapstick.

ITS ALL THE EQUIPMENT MANAGER'S FAULT!

So I'm not sure exactly what all happened. How drunk am I????

The offense looked like s**t in after the opening drive. Then the 3rd quarter starts and I start getting a blow job. The blow job lasted as long as the third quarter. Afterwards she pointed out that is was good luck and wanted to do it again but Danimal is too hammered. After the opening half I started drinking heavily to attempt to change what happened in my own mind. How the hell I was still poised enough to pull off receiving a hummer while watching football I don't know. Maybe I agreed to buy her a new car and don't remember.

Then the 4th quarter started and the wheels fell off the pain train. What the hell??? Shipley is awesome. Benson was racking up the yards. Down in the red zone we went away from the Benson racking up yards to throw even though we had 3 time outs still left?

We to start for the off season? O-Line? No matter who you have in the backfield QB or HB they are worthless if there's no damn blocking.

I still have hope for the playoffs though but I'm hammered and probably shouldn't be at a keyboard right now.

Screw it. Time ti drink until I think we won today.

How these coaches aren't getting more flack for this absolute piece of sh*t product is beyond me.

Playoffs ?? Playoffs ?? You gotta be kidding me. Seriously, our schedule doesn't get easier you know.

The season to this point has been filled with very few positives. Shipley is at the top of that list.

After that, I've got three words to describe what we see on Sundays:

COAT HANGER ABORTION

This sh*t is ridiculous.

I have no reason to be optimistic, but for some reason I am. They are 2-4. Let's say a miracle happens and the Bengals win next week against Miami and the Saints beat Pitt. That sets up a Monday night game vs Pitt that if won would make us. 4-4 and Pitt 5-3. Marvin has turned the Bengals around after slow starts. I'm not saying Super Bowl. No Chance, but I think they can still make the playoffs. The team has talent and will now relax with the idea of nothing to lose.

How about being flagged TWICE for 12 men on the field in the same game? If you can't count, how can you be expected to run an NFL team?

How about the complete failure to prepare your team for a game when you have two weeks to do so ??

How about that failure being so bad, your players are now making comments to the fact ??

Because there is no system of accountability throughout the organization. It's not MB's style.

If Marvin could choose his own staff he would but he can't. The coaching staff is Mikey's baby.

The coaching staff is Mikey's baby.

The baby just filled it's diaper this season.

Really it's been that way for a long time. Alot of them, including Brat, have been there before Marvin got there. You'd think most successful driven coaches (Hue Jackson)would at least seek a promotion somewhere and move on. Nope. Not at the Mike Brown football country club. Comfortable is key. Sit down, enjoy yourself, stay for at least 10 years.

Well, before we completely bury the coaching staff -- and I'm not saying they don't deserve a dirt nap (employment wise, not really, of course) -- let me echo again something brought up in the gameday thread (by volcom I think but feel free to scroll through and check) that at some point you have to expect the players to, y'know, be the pros they are paid to be.

The coaches aren't the only ones who know who is supposed to be on the field for what plays.

The coaches aren't out there missing tackles, dropping balls, making poor throws, fumbling footballs, missing blocks, etc.

I mean, we've seen week after week of this. I'm not sure how much more "coaching" can do. At a certain point, you either suck it up and do your job...or you cash your check and wait for the season to end.

While I agree with that, I think more importantly it comes down to who keeps the players accountable? Coaching is about preparation and more importantly leadership and direction. A team full of 25 year old athletes needs good ones.
