redsbengalsbucks Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 I hope the Reds remembered to pack the bats for the trip. They are going to need to get to Halladay early and often. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 the game kicks off at 5:07pm EST.That early of a starting time is bu**s**t! I'll be stuck at work while the game is on. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 I'm leaving work and calling it good. I'm not missing this for ANYTHING !!! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 I think people are simply overlooking the fact when the Phillies swept the Reds back in July, the first three games went to extra innings. Game 4 of that series had a final score of 1-0, Phillies. It's not like we weren't competing in that series. The Reds were winning game 2 of that series 7-1 and the Phillies blew up for 6 runs in the 9th before winning in extras. In game 3 neither team scored until extras.Another note, in those 4 games, no one named Oswalt or Halladay got a win... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 Reds go down in the 1st 1-2-3...Lets go Volquez !!! Quote
semiotter Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Ok guys here we goooooo!!! i got to work but i will be keeping up with this one... Quote
volcom69 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 As big of a Bengal fan, im a huge Phillies fan as i live in PA. So just wanted to say goodluck, but not to much luck today lol. If the Phils pitching is as good as its been in Sept. they will be a tough group to beat. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 1-0 Phillies on the sac fly... Quote
semiotter Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Yeah good luck with your store bought pitching staff bro!! Quote
semiotter Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Ok Reds just hit the Ball!! We need Rolen to find his power again, Gomes and Phillips to hit and we will be ok.... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 Another 1-2-3 for the Reds. They are hitting it, just right to someone.Hang in there Reds. Volquez just needs to not let them jump up a few runs.Keep it close... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 Volquez needs to thank Rolen for that stab and throw !!! Quote
AGrizzlyBaer Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 2-0 That should be more then enough for Roy to hold this one for Philly... Quote
semiotter Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 2-0 That should be more then enough for Roy to hold this one for Philly...Don't give up yet Grizz... Quote
AGrizzlyBaer Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 2-0 That should be more then enough for Roy to hold this one for Philly...Don't give up yet Grizz...I hope you are right. They have Wood warming up in the Pen if Volquez can't find the strike zone. Quote
cincyhokie Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Volquez consistently looks like a scared child when he gets in trouble. Quote
AGrizzlyBaer Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Ugh... 4-0 lets them score three runs with 2 outs. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 Volquez gets rocked and then yanked. 4-0 Phillies equals game #1 win. Quote
volcom69 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Yeah good luck with your store bought pitching staff bro!!Hey man say what you want, but the phils had to do something there was injury all year plus they couldnt hit the ball in the early going. I hated to give up Happ, but so for Oswald went 7-1 for us which is awsome. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 Gave up 3 runs after getting 2 outs and it started by giving up a shot to Halladay.Lets go Travis Wood !!! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 Halladay is dominant. I mean really, it's impressive to watch guys like that play. Quote
cincyhokie Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Bad, bad, bad feeling Cueto is going to get mashed when he pitches. Like Volquez he seems to melt under any type of pressure. Quote
