jjakq27 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 7-1 Cubs, top of 9th.It's just unbelievable how the Cubs dominate the Cardinals!I have this theory that for a variety of reasons, teams might get up a little more for the Cards than they do for the Reds. Or maybe the Cards just aren't that good. Dunno for sure. Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Game. Cubs win 7-2. Take the magic number down a notch. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 7-1 Cubs, top of 9th.It's just unbelievable how the Cubs dominate the Cardinals!I have this theory that for a variety of reasons, teams might get up a little more for the Cards than they do for the Reds. Or maybe the Cards just aren't that good. Dunno for sure.I think the Cards just play the Reds well and that is it. Most of it is that La Russa manipulates his lineups so we have to face Wainwright, Carpenter, and Garcia everytime. It seems like they live for the Reds but just die after that.I think we are getting to the point where we can forget about the Cards because they are just done.I saw that Pujols went down with a elbow injury or something?Votto might actually be able to get the triple crown! Quote
Stripes Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 4-0 in the first. RBI triple by Gomes, RBI single by Cairo, 2-run homer by Stubbs. Quote

BengalszoneBilly Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 I don't know if anyone else is watching this game on TV, but the park is heavily infested by Mayflies tonight. Both batters and fielders are having a tough time! Quote
