Agreed. I'm not terribly opposed to bringing someone else in to compete, but they'd best act very soon or it'd be utterly pointless. I want them to keep only two this year, and jettison J.T. rather than Jordan.

This team needs a healthy Palmer. If he's out for more than a few games, they just won't be very successful.

That said, if he were to be out for 2-3 games and the Bengals were in the hunt and wanted to win a couple of them, I think Jeff Garcia would be the guy to get. He's reasonably mobile which would be good for an O-Line that struggles in pass protection, and he qualifies for wiley old veteran status, and could get more from this offense than JT can imo.

I've never mentioned Pike... I think its hilarious that these girls I'm dating are all of a sudden ex's of Bengals players. It really sucks. Obviously you guys don't see the humor in this, you really need to lighten up a bit. It's mostly because their UC grad's which is where my gf went to school.

I liked Tony Pike as a Bearcat, but what he did as a Bearcat QB equates to very little in the NFL at this point.

I also don't think he would do anything for what our backup situation needs.

The one area where the Bengals have consistently failed to add adequate depth is at backup QB. Current #2 JT O'Sullivan is a scared and jittery turnover machine that would have me calling for the punter on 2nd down.

How many teams have adequate backups after there No. 1 goes down? In fact how many teams even have legitimate No. 1's. Maybe 60 or 70%?

I agree. God help the Colts, Patriots,Saints,Packers,Texans,Redskins,Vikings or Cowboys if their starting QBs go down.
