ArmyBengal Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Now this is a big series for the Reds. I know they all are, but the Braves are leading the Phillies in the East and playing really good ball this year.Cueto will be taking the mound in game 1 of 3 of this series tomorrow night. They haven't lost a series since coming off the break and split one with the Nats. The Cards lost today to the Mets, putting the Reds back in first by a half game !!! Thank you Mets !!!GO REDS !!! Quote
skyline Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 I hate the Braves more than any team in baseball. Living in Nashville, they're pretty much all I hear about. The last series with them pretty much broke my heart, so here's hoping they can do a little better this time around... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 30, 2010 Author Report Posted July 30, 2010 I can't stand the Braves as well and it pains me to see them doing so well this season. The Reds have always seemed to struggle against them and the Braves knocked them out of the playoffs the last time they went in 1995.The Braves are like the Pittsburgh Steelers of major league baseball to me. I just hate them... Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 The Braves are like the Pittsburgh Steelers of major league baseball to me. I just hate them...Nah. More like the Dallas Cowboys. They both like to be presumptuous call themselves "America's Team". Well guess what, I'm an American, and the Braves aren't my team. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Posted July 31, 2010 4-4 Reds coming up to bat in the bottom of the 9th.Votto tied it up in the 8th with a solo shot. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Posted July 31, 2010 Had Heisey in scoring position, but Cabrera couldn't get him in.Going to extras... Quote
Stripes Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Hopefully Cordero can keep them quiet, the heart of the Reds order is coming up in the 10th. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Posted July 31, 2010 Yeah, I was thinking about the same thing in regards to the order coming up in the bottom of the 10th.I think the Cards are in a rain delay. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Posted July 31, 2010 Way to go Cordero. F*CKING UP AGAIN !!! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Way to go Cordero. F*CKING UP AGAIN !!!Right after the walk, I got a bad feeling, and so it goes... Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 YES!!! Hanigan comes through big time in the 7th with a three run double. Now THAT'S some clutch hitting! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Holy hell. Cordero comes in to try and close this one out. Hold on to your seats Reds fans! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Posted July 31, 2010 I was thinking the same thing Billy... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Posted July 31, 2010 2 on and 2 out. Please dont f*ck this up Cordero... Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Thank God. Reds win...Good God. Cordero is a two legged walking, talking heart attack. Got the job done tonight though! Quote
BlainThePain Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Thank God. Reds win...Good God. Cordero is a two legged walking, talking heart attack. Got the job done tonight though! Ondrusek (spelling) should be closing. Quote
skyline Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Or possibly Jordan Smith.Either way, I was so glad to see the win today. About team we beat those stinkin' Braves. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 1, 2010 Author Report Posted August 1, 2010 I'm not real confident in Volquez taking the mound tomorrow with the control issues he has been having his past two starts, but here's to hoping he comes through and gets the Reds another series win. With the Cards playing the Pirates, we need to keep pace. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 With the Cards playing the Pirates, we need to keep pace. With the Cardinals playing the Pirates, Cincy needs to win every game because Pittsburgh ain't worth a crap. Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 With the Cards playing the Pirates, we need to keep pace. With the Cardinals playing the Pirates, Cincy needs to win every game because Pittsburgh ain't worth a crap. That had better hold up the next series, when Cincy plays them. They swept the Reds early in the year and it is time to take some revenge. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 1, 2010 Author Report Posted August 1, 2010 The Reds got the better of them in their last series with the Reds getting the sweep. Just keep winning series and they will be fine.On a side note, the Reds haven't scored a run during a Sunday game for the past three weeks in a row. Hopefully today will be different !!! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 1, 2010 Author Report Posted August 1, 2010 Well, Volquez is done for the day after going 5 innings, only giving up 3 hits, and a single run.Oh yeah, he had 6 strikeouts in those 5 innings...Another plus ?? The Reds take the lead in the bottom of the 5th.2-1 Reds Quote
