Washington isn't nearly as horrid as they were last season and they won't give away any games for free, but the Reds are still clearly better.Also, the Reds last three losses all came by the immensely frustrating score of 1-0. The guy's amazing, but the headlines this morning are all about how he shut down the Reds, 7 ks, blah blah blah.Last I checked 5 2/3 innings with 3 ER was acceptable, but not anything sensational. The Reds lost because their pitching sucked, not because Strasburg was an unhittable beast.Anyway, this game is meaningless if we win game 4. If you get the win, it's fine, but don't go on and on about how he's a "shutdown" type of pitcher. Could he be in the future when he pitches further into games ?? Sure, no doubt. However, lets keep things in perspective.This game went about the way I thought it would and a win tonight equals winning the first two series to open the second half.That will keep the Reds in contention all the way through if they can continue.
