derekshank Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 PFT reports that Jason La Canfora reports that after seeing him in OTAs, that Odom will be fully ready by training camp.Odom also says he has a personal goal to lead the league in sacks.Good news all around. This D-Line should be very good if it stays healthy. Quote
Wraith Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 And even if he goes down this year we have significant depth behind him which was not the case last year with MJ being a rookie and not having Dunlap to fill in. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 How can anyone reading that NOT be excited for how the d-line could be looking this year ??Awesome news !!! Quote
bwillycuse Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 We will have an unrelenting defense this year. No holding back. Fresh, capable players on every play.Stay healthy Benglas. Quote
BengalPimp Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 Stay healthy Benglas.....you said Benglas...... Quote
BengalPimp Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 I hope he's 100% by the time preseason starts, that way he can shake off the rust then. Even if healthy, there is bound to be some rust having not played since October. It's great that he wants to lead the league in sacks, but I'll be happy with 10, and constant pressure. Quote
bwillycuse Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 Stay healthy Benglas.....you said Benglas...... I think I will be getting a visit soon by the police. Officer Miles will be here soon.Stay Healthy Bengals PLEASE!!!! Quote
skyline Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 I believe Odom's been injured every season except 1. *fingers crossed* Quote
HairOnFire Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 Either I'm a skeptic or just old enough to remember when THAT injury was always a career ender, but I'll believe he can back all the way when I see it. Quote
COB Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 Torn achilles? He'll never be the same, as far as I know. Then again, maybe it wasn't torn all the way through. I think Reggie Kelly had the same injury, so to a certain degree our season depends on how well guys can recover from that injury in this day and age.Odom put on a lot of muscle and magically stayed just as quick, or got quicker, before the '09 season. Let's just imagine that his diet and exercise program will be just as good this off-season, thus allowing him to miraculously heal and still be huge and quick. He could be the Roger Clemens of defensive ends. Quote
jonf45uk Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 How can anyone reading that NOT be excited for how the d-line could be looking this year ??Awesome news !!!absolutely. fantastic last year in all departments, and with added depth this year.good times jon Quote
