JoePong Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 And we signed Rahim Alem, DE from LSU. Rated as the #2 undrafted DE available. They had him rated as the #14 overall DE and #11 in pass rush, initial quickness, and pursuit and tackling. Quote

jjakq27 Posted April 25, 2010 Author Report Posted April 25, 2010 There's a note on reedy's twitter feed (not from reedy) that the Bengals have signed UC longsnapper Mike Windt.Surprising I thought Harris did a fine job last year.I am happy to see they are looking at finding upgrades at every position. Windt might be insurance for the future or PS material but it is nice to see a local kid get a chance with the home team. He played at Elder High School as well as UC. Quote

You all were talking about getting blount but this guy is the same size as ced and is alot faster than blount... Great guy to have if ced goes down (God forbid) Quote
cincyhokie Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 I like what we have at RB in Benson, Scott, and Leonard. However, if Benson goes down again, there's a problem as we don't have a Larry Johnson to back him up.But, if we keep improving our run blocking, it'll help anyone who comes in and if that's a UFA then so be it. Kazkal Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Cordera Eason avg'd 4.6 his best year,Blount avg'd 7.3 ..I like what we have at RB in Benson, Scott, and Leonard. However, if Benson goes down again, there's a problem as we don't have a Larry Johnson to back him up.For only a few games I wouldn't mind just Scott & Leonard feeling in but if it's season ending I'd be worried...the other thing is if they let him walk next season we'll be going in with a unknown rookie for his replacement. cincyhokie Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Look for Buffalo to release Marshawn Lynch sometime before the season starts. Other good RB's may be available through FA as well. Just a thought. Quote

But looking at their depth chart they also have a spot open that will be filled with Spiller. They could keep all 3 plus a FB on the active roster but Lynch costs more than Jackson so maybe, and I'm speculating, they may look at releasing Lynch's salary in the offseason. Quote
cincyhokie Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Hell, Brian Westbrook is still available. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Hell, Brian Westbrook is still available. So is Owens. A lot of big names out of this years mix. Quote
Kazkal Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 Yay Blount refused to sign with the 49ers and is going to be a Titan,Now only if Mays would say FU 49ers...but I have a feeling he wants to play seahawks twice a year. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 I saw that as well Kaz. Kind of odd, but whatever, I thought that might make you happy... Quote
Kazkal Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 I saw that as well Kaz. Kind of odd, but whatever, I thought that might make you happy...Probably like his chances with the Titans better,Though They have Chris Johnson they just got rid of their power back.Where 49ers alrdy have 2 serviceable backs with Gore & Coffee...That or because he haden't signed yet and titans said they would offer him more money...Mike Brown get on the Phone and outbid the titans! lol Quote

HairOnFire Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 In regards to the thread, there's one question I haven't seen asked once since everyone is talking about how Miles had a second round grade. WHY DID HE GO UNDRAFTED ?? Because the Sporting News Draft Guide is a worthless piece of crap? Quote
TJJackson Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 Dunlap and Jeromy Miles are the two players I am going to be watching through camps(Miles? Myles? Both defensive backs?)I think Geno may pleasantly surprise a lot of usLooking forward to the season Quote
