Kazkal
Defensive Ends on the BengalsFanene,Rucker,Odom,Geathers,Johnson,DunlapMakes me wonder if their going to cut geathers or move Johnson to the Hybrid DE/OLB role.
ArmyBengal
I'm not sure how I feel about Dunlap right there. I will have to do some research.I think there were others players they may have been a better option, but will hold off my initial reaction. Kazkal
Our 2 biggest weakness's on team IMO Passing Game and Passrush were addressed so really can't complain about 1 & 2 atm.
BengalPimp
I'm just not so sure Dunlap is that Pass Rusher. He plays the run well, but would have preferred a "Speed Rusher" type. He'll be solid, but i have a hard time seeing him being a double-digit Sacker.

IIRC he's just here on a one-year deal now and hasn't exactly knocked everyone's socks off.
kentjett
Can't complain. We drafted the best athlete available. Dunlap has more ability than any other DE in the whole entire draft. Time will tell if he is able to put it all together.
derekshank
Dunlap was thought at one time to be a top 10 pick. Great value here. Still would have preferred Haynesworth... but I was pretty sure that was a pipedream to begin with.
HairOnFire
First reaction? I feel better about Dunlap in the 2nd than JPP in the 1st.
ArmyBengal
I just don't have the feel good thought to the pick. I think there were other players out there, like Cody and Burnett that would have made better choices and you could even argue that Everson Griffen was the better player at the position. Just not sure.

IIRC he's just here on a one-year deal now and hasn't exactly knocked everyone's socks off.But the value with Frostee is he can slide inside to DT on passing downs. If they try to do that with Dunlap, then maybe they get rid of him. As it stands, our DT's are Peko, Tank, Sims....I'm not counting Orien Harris or Clinton McDonald. IIRC he's just here on a one-year deal now and hasn't exactly knocked everyone's socks off. He signed for two years. Said he wanted to stay. Said the Bengals love him. Feel good story of the year. volcom69
I wanted a pass rusher, but i thought maybe Everson Griffin but i guess ill see how Dunlap makes out
Kazkal
Why would you want to keep geathers? He hasen't done crap since he got his new deal I like the guy but for how cost he isn't worth the roster spot.

Just not sure.I think I would have also preferred any of those 3 Burnett (talent+fills need), Cody (We only have 3 real DT's Peko,Tank,Sims), Griffen, or maybe even Golden Tate (not a huge need, but a great value at that point). ShulaSteakhouse
Man the Ravens just added two quality defensive guys, they just keep reloading.
Whur CHad At?
Doesn't try hard. Doesnt have a passion for the game. But he got a DUI, so yeah we needed him badly. After seeing what Baltimore did tonight, I am thankful we drafted Gresham.Overall a very bad pick. Hopefully we'll make up for it Rd.

ChadJohnson-85
Texans should take Burnett.Edit: Sorry wrong thread.
Bengals44
If you look at how Johnson played last year (another DE with similar attributes who suppossedly didnt have the motor), I think you have to feel that Zimmer can make it happen again. Johnson was better than I expected his first year. With the former Def Coords we had no, but with Zimm, yes, he will be all over his as*... I think that Zimm factor has to be considered, he will be embarrassed if he lacks effort, nothing like peer pressure and Zimm is the right man for Mr. Dunlap... Kazkal
Or you can keep em all by moving MJ to Linebacker who's frame is more suited for that then DE IMO.he showed he can drop back in to coverage he has speed and athleticism and he could still put his hand down. ArmyBengal
My concerns for Dunlap:Limited pass rush movesUndisciplinedCharacter concernsIf he projected to the outside linebacker spot, I would like the pick more. I'm not overwhelmed as I don't think the pick helped us actually address the pass rush need of our defense.
