Trevor Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Sure would be nice to have him pre-injury..... He was pretty good at one time, and i dont thinkwere gonna sign him Quote
HairOnFire Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 We'll sign him back after he's cut, but I won't like it. I don't like how long it's taken him to recover from his injury, if he's actually recovered at all. That said, he didn't burn his bridges leaving town and this team does need help, if not a new starter, at ORG. Quote

BengalPimp Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 I'd maybe sign him to like a 2-year $7 million (fair money) if he would take it, and play him at G. I actually thought he played well at Guard when put there, not so much at tackle. I wouldn't be excited about getting him back, but I wouldn't mind either....As long as they didn't pay too much. JoePong Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 I thought he played great for us at LG when Whit was moved to play LT. I think Stacy actually beat him out in training camp for that spot one year. LG was his best position, then they started moving him around to other positions and he ended up playing on the right side.We could use a LG so I don't mind if they sign him for that. Quote

JoePong Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 No, there was a year when Stacy Andrews was listed as the starting LG all through the pre-season ahead of Whit. Whit was backing up Levi Jones at LT. He was sort of the 6th man on the line. Things got shuffled around from there for various reasons... Quote
COB Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 He's a journeyman. We paid him 7 million under the tag, then the Eagles paid him 5 million to rehab his knee for a year. He's a journeyman, but he's the luckiest journeyman I can remember. Off topic: Lindsay Vonn is a gold medal piece of ass. Quote

Correct me if I'm wrong but.....Don't you have to have moved around a lot (more than just 2 teams) before you are considered a journeyman? Just Sayin...... Quote
wpeldios Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 He does have a great skill set for a guard. The problem is, this is exactly the type of player I would expect the Bengals to mishandle. Wouldn't mind the signing if it was cost effective, but I wouldn't count on it happening. Quote
Horsemen Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 I hope we pass on bringing Andrews and his "meaningless garbage time" plays back. Quote
BlainThePain Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 He won't be back. I remember when Alexander making a huge deal about Andrews lying to him when he left. He won't play for any team Alexander coaches on. Quote

Just Sayin......One would think being well-travelled would be involved, with "journey" as the root of the word. But no, you could play your whole career for one team and be a journeyman.
