combatbengal
1ST of all, I hate how they are doing the pro bowl this year. Playing a week before the Super Bowl. So you're heading to the super bowl and your QB is the starter for the pro bowl. He get's hurt in the game now you lose the super bowl. This was a very stupid decision from the NFL! Not one Bengal on the pro bowl team. Dude, we have pro bowlers on that Def!!!
BengalPimp
To my knowledge they have not yet announced the Alternates. Hall and J Joe HAVE to be 1st and 2nd Alternates.

HairOnFire
No Pro Bowl players? More tasty motivation for a team that has fed on a steady diet of disrespect.
Kazkal
No Pro Bowl players? More tasty motivation for a team that has fed on a steady diet of disrespect.Mhmmm goes with the whole "players no one wanted" Plus it works out perfectly since Superbowl teams won't be taking part in probowl anyways
whizzo
PFT concurs that at least jjoe and hall should've been considered./>http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/12/29/no-bengals-make-the-pro-bowl/
kevnz
If they use the snub as motivation great...I mean it's total BS....The Browns have more Pro Bowlers than us, Hell the Ravens have 5 and we beat them twice. But that's life as a Bengal, they gotta keep earning it.

You won't hear many people admit it, but after a monster rookie season Joe Thomas has largely been a polished piece of s**t for two years in a row. Stripes
My immediate reaction to seeing a Pro Bowl list with zero Bengals?Laughter. This is great. I didn't expect such delicious motivation.Hey, 10,000!

But then most "rep" players are. It takes a good season or two, and then players get lazy and just vote the name they know.

mgi
This is exactly what we needed to light our fire. We are an actual team this year. In '05 I remember players whining about only a couple Bengals making the team. This year, the Bengals played like a team all year, and they are only worried about the bowl game that matters. Who Dey! BengalPimp
Still upset Hall and J Joe not selected. As I posted in another thread, here are their most important numbers, along with the 3 CB's that made it.Leon Hall 67 Tackles 6 Int's 24 Passes DefensedJohnathan Joseph 66 Tackles 6 Int's 20 Passes DefensedDarrelle Revis 54 Tackles 6 Int's 31 Passes Defensed (WOW)Champ Bailey 72 Tackles 3 Int's 13 Passes DefensedNnamdi Asomugha 34 Tackles 1 Int 4 Passes DefensedNnamdi Asomugha and Champ Bailey's numbers are obviously nowhere near the other 3, but because of their reputation, teams don't throw in their direction as often.....It's amazing really that a player with only 1 Int, and 4 Passes Defensed would make the Pro Bowl, I mean teams hardly threw in Deion Sanders' direction, but the guy still ended getting like 5-10 picks a year. Asomugha is living off his reputation, Oakland is ranked 15th in Pass Defense...Teams are not throwing to the other CB (Chris Johnson) side every time. Nnamdi is getting beat too. Hall and Joseph deserve to be there over him.

Dimster28
More motivation for this team. I like it.u dont made sense at allit is less motivation as now they know no matter how good they are, fans are just too stupid to vote right way. this is the reason i never watch or care about pro bowl, if nfl remove fans from vote and only coaches and few serious voters, then pro bowl will be filled correctly. The more disrespected they are, the better they play. I was being more tongue in cheek than anything. Obviously, the deserving players getting their earned respect would be the best thing.
