kingwilly
Does anyone have a handle on the $ committed for 2010?I am guilty of blindly, and wildly, suggesting additions and subtractions to the team. Does anyone have a real handle on the actual numbers?I would like to see them go after a tier 1 WR and a DE. As well, I have suggested cutting guys like Geathers, Williams Kelly, and Coles, not knowing what savings there truly would be.Any insight would be appreciated, as I am simply too busy (and slightly lazy this week) to research and document. JoePong
You sound like a penny-pinching cheap ass.Glad you are not running the team.
COB
You sound like a penny-pinching cheap ass.How do you get that interpretation from a post just asking what the salary cap number is next year? Also, you failed to criticize Carson Palmer in this post, you're slipping a little.

Kazkal
Joe how is he a penny pencher? He wants the money Used on Marshall or Boldin As well, I have suggested cutting guys like Geathers, Williams Kelly, and Coles, not knowing what savings there truly would be.Geathers I think we would gain room Kelly & Williams are free agentsColes we would take a pretty decent cap hit (but next year is uncapped)Go Bengals.com use to have a cap sheet but I haven't seen it updated in quite some time http://cap.go-bengals.com/#
JoePong
Joe how is he a penny pencher? He wants the money Used on Marshall or Boldin Because he only wants to do it if he is able to gut the rest of the team to save money. God forbid we actually spend money to add to and improve the current team. There's no rule that you have to get rid of a bunch of your best players in order to do that. Do you somehow benefit from Mike Brown pocketing the savings?

Do you somehow benefit from Mike Brown pocketing the savings?Ok, idiot, how do you propose bringing on Peppers and Marshall WITHOUT considering making reductions elsewhere? Marshall alone will command very very high $ on the open market. "Only"?, really?Your stumbling assumption that there is a way, by implying I am a cheap ass without providing data to show it as true, flies right past the basis of the post: determine where the team stands relative to the 2010 cap, so that it can be figured out.On a performance side, cutting Bobbie, Geathers, Kelly and Coles can be justified without considering their salary. Best players? You mean the O-Lineman who has given up the most sacks? or one of the highest paid defensive players who under-performs consistently?Pong, you are one sandy mangina. If I am a cheap ass, prove it with some numbers, which, as I stated clearly, was the basis of the post.

Ickey44
The first thing that needs to be said is there is no salary cap next year.Unless they come to some kinda of agreement before March, no there won't be. I don't see it happening either.
