4 games for PEDs.

Thank God LJ got out while he could. There's a whole lot of ugly in that franchise and LJ might have a real chance now that he's away from all those bad influences there. ^_^

Pesky diuretics...

Why would a WR take diuretics?

Maybe he ate a block of cheese three days ago and needed to poop? :P

Why would a WR take diuretics?

Diuretics somehow mask steroid use. They're banned not because of their own inherent qualities, but because they inhibit the excretion of waste that steroids normally produce. Diuretics are also used as masking agents to hide the use of marijuana and other drugs.

Also, someone mentioned Bowe was overweight. Diuretics are also used as a fast weight loss tool. Pretty misguided usage there, pretty unhealthy to just dehydrate your body.

I thought I read somewhere recently that they found the diuretics don't actually mask anything.

They do mask the kinds of steroids players used to take. The testing establishment is looking for any reason to justify their existence.

There are dozens of diuretics that do a good job to dehydrate a body. they don't do much to "mask" metabolites (the breakdown by-products of steroids/synthetic hormones) out of the body, they rapidly transport them out of the body, so when you test, you are cleaned out. Think of them as a blood/urine enema. at any rate, the NFL testing program is a downright farce. that he was caught with a diuretic in his system is really just a self-engineered way to assure the testing program shows it is "working".

idiots.
