Broncosfreaks
Hi, my name is Derek...I am CanuckBroncofan and I am a co-owner of broncosfreaks.com...I am making the trek from Barrie,Ontario with my wife to see my Bronco's in Cinci. Firstly, I come in peace...I am a fan of the NFL in general it just so happens that Denver has been my team for 25+ years. I have never been to Cincinnati and am very excited to take in some of the city while I am there. I am staying at the Hyatt downtown...I think it's about 10 mins from the stadium. Does anyone know any good things to do, see or good places to eat while there? Also is it easy to get auto's from the visiting team at the stadium? I think it's going to be a good game. I'm not a big fan of Orton but I am hopeful we can keep it respectable even though we are going to be doing some rebuilding for the next couple seasons. Anyways, good luck on Sunday and I hope for no injuries for both teams.p.s. are Cinci fans the types that get pissed off about other teams jerseys/colors? I know I had an experience in Buffalo where a guy spit on me...that wasn't too cool...

Both are not not that far from downtown. There are a couple distinct local food places, Skyline Chili(fast food but a local favorite), Montgomery Inn Ribs, and Graeters Ice Cream. Just a few ideas, hope that gives you some help.

If you're any kind of beer drinker I'd recommend the Hofbrau Haus in Newport. It's a fun german pub with long tables, big delicious beer and a great atmosphere. Oakley square is a lot of fun, too. There's a great little eatery/bar called habits there that's great. If you have time to kill i'd also encourage you to take a stroll through ault park. Cincy is a great city, you'll have a terrific time.If you wear a bronco's jersey i'm sure you'll get hollered at but nothing to be worried about. It's not like you're going to pittsburgh for a game. JoePong
Don't worry about the Bengal fans at the game. None of them will be there anyway from what I hear. They must have the worst home field advantage in the NFL.
BlainThePain
I see people wearing opponents jerseys to Paul Brown Stadium all of the time, and I have never seen them harassed. Don't worry about anything like that.

ArmyBengal
I have mentioned this before, but I saw a Chiefs fan get tackled in the stands last year by some drunk ass hole, but in all my years going to Bengals games, that is the only incident I have ever witnessed. For the most part, it's what you would expect going into another teams stadium. I'm sure I'll get the same love when I go to the Vikings game when the Bengals visit. redsbengalsbucks
Drunken fans can be downright stupid anywhere, in any sport. If you are respectful, I would not think any trouble will come your way. Good luck, on your season, but I hope the Broncos dont pull it all together until week 2. Sorry. gregstephens
Yeah, I'd expect a little ribbing if it were a Browns or Steelers visit, but you should be ok in a Bronco jersey. I know one of my esteemed colleagues above recommended the Skyline Chili, however, Gold Star Chili is sold at the stadium so I would definitely take advantage of that and buy a coney and a three-way. Newport has a lot of great stuff to do (it's what Cincy should have been on a much bigger scale). Newport On the Levee has the aquarium, lots of great stores and an excellent movie theater. If you go there, check out the Johnny Rockets 50s-style diner/restaurant if you don't have any out your way. We'll hate you Sunday, but otherwise, welcome aboard and don't be a stranger. I also got a french roll thrown at me out a car window. Bills fans are ruthless.
Clackwoods
Don't worry about the Bengal fans at the game. None of them will be there anyway from what I hear. They must have the worst home field advantage in the NFL.Worst in the NFL? We have sold out like 44 straight games outside of this one. I think the reason noone is buying tickets is because the Broncos are garbage and everyone expects a win

agreen_112
Goldstar > Skyline.... Trust me, I know. It's also the official chili of the Cincinnati Bengals. Mike Brown knows his Cincy chili, I'll give him that! I've seen people harrased at Reds games for supporting other teams. A guy was with his son walking back to his car and he got yelled and screamed at pretty bad for wearing a Cardinals jersey. It was pretty bad.It takes one bad drunk to get a whole crowd going it seems like.. I think you'll be fine. Park close as close to the stadium as you can.Forget about downtown Cincy, there's nothing there to see other than the stadiums. Hit Mt. Adams, the place is crack-a-lackin'. Hit the recommended spots in Newport. Covington's Main Straus is wear it's at too. For food, try Montgomery Inn, even the select Montgomery fast food spots are good. Goldstar is a must, try skyline if you dare. Goldstar has Franks hot sauce for the coneys and 3/4 ways, its the tits! There's also a place on the river called The Beer Cellar that's pretty cool. It's over on the Newport side. You'll also find a Hooters nearby on the river too... That's about it for Cincy. There's a few bars and clubs downtown like Black Finn, Lodge, and Cadillac Ranch. You just missed the big WEBN (local rock radio station) Fireworks which would've been awesome to see.
