derekshank Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Who knows? Maybe the legend of Favre dies with John Madden. Wait... did we decided he's not dead? Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Yeah, I thought Madden was dead. Kidding, but Favre's career has been dead for quite some time.If the Vikings think he's the best option for the team to win this upcoming season, then more power to them. I honestly think all teams should do what they think will produce a winner. Unfortunately, I think it's the media circus the Vikings organization knows will soon follow his signing that would be to much to pass up on. The constant media attention, putting fans in the seats to come out and hope Favre can exact his revenge on the Packers (that's all it's really about), and the sales profits from Vikings fans buying up Favre jersey's just like they did in New York will be to much to pass up for the Vikings organization. Can you imagine what would happen if he were to lead the Vikings to a season sweep of the Packers on their way to the playoffs ??We would never hear the end of Favre...This is going to be another long season of hearing his name mentioned in every other sentence regarding football.I would love to be able to watch a SportCenter episode without hearing Favre or A-Rod mentioned more than 50 times.F*ck those guys !!!
