Nah... Willie Anderson part 2.Here is the thing...if you need a guy you trade for him. If he is released, then there is no guarantee you get him. He could sign with any team. Some teams may think that is a risk worth taking, but with the need the Bills have at Tackle now, and the fact they weren't able to fill the hole in the draft, I say they will give a 4th for Levi. fattyjay
What about getting Roscoe Parrish for Levi? I read somewhere that they had him on the block before the draft. That would give the Bengals the return threat they still need.

That would give the Bengals the return threat they still need.I would completely love this! Roscoe is one of the best return guys and a great slot guy.I tell u what, man I miss Big Willie. I wish we hadn't released him, he is not as great as he once was but deserved to retire a Bengal and doesn't belong as a Gayven...can u imagine our line with Andre Smith Andrew Whitworth Jon Luigs Bobbie Williams Willie Anderson. Its wishful and u can't live in the past but its just wrong...
whizzo
i'd rather take a 2nd or 3rd rounder next year over Parrish. we have young WRs who need development time, and i don't think the KR/PR problem is as bad as a lot of people say it is - Scott and Caldwell should do OK next season as returners. JoePong
If we get anything it would be like a conditional 5th or 6th round pick.
whizzo
5th or 6th round pick.fair enough... i guess Madden's screwing with my perception of trade values
georgeoberer
Never know Willie could come back. The Ravens will probably cut Willie and you never know Willie might just want to be in cincy. We'll see how they mesh but this line could be a very good line if the C possition holds up.
Kazkal
5th or 6th round pick.fair enough... i guess Madden's screwing with my perception of trade values I'd say trade him for 6th or 7th but make so it's conditional say he plays 80% offensive snaps it turns in to a 3rd rounder...PS,If a team wants to wait for us to cut him I'd keep him around for depth and you never know he may bring his A game out of no where. HairOnFire
I don't WANT Willie Anderson back. Change the locks on the door. Put armed guards next to the vending machines. Burn all of the local fatburger franchises to the ground. But whatever it takes, keep that sleepwalking lockerroom lawyer away from my football team. georgeoberer
I don't think the bengals care what you want Hair. What is your problem with Willie?? I would be happy to take him back as a backup that can spell guys productively through a game. You need to stop being such a hater and negitive person all you have to say is negitive s**t usually. membengal
Didn't he just say in his post what his problem with Anderson was? I think "sleepwalking lockerroom lawyer" is damn succinct and damn accurate.

HAPPYJAQ
At this point, any move involving Levi leaving the Bengals will be joined by arrival of a veteran OT through free agency.

HoosierCat
If Jones can still play, keep him. Can't have too much depth on the o-line.If not, cut him loose. But the fact they are trying to deal him tells me he can still play. So I'm in no hurry.Last time I checked, Andre Smith's name isn't on a contract.

redsbengalsbucks
I say keep him for at least this season and see what the best combo of new and old can get done. There seems to be very small benefits to trading him and even smaller for cutting him.
icehole3
he may get cut, I'd like to see them at least make sure the line is stable before just cutting, this makes it sound like theyre gonna take their time with this, then again he maybe cut before the day is done, who knowshttp://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/rive...c9-a9524baa79b5JONES NOT CUT: Kenny Zuckerman, the agent for left tackle Levi Jones, said Monday the club told him last month that they would trade him or cut him before the draft. But Zuckerman admitted Monday he's getting conflicitng reports from the team after head coach Marvin Lewis appeared on NFL Network during the draft and made it sound like Jones is sticking around. Given Jones' salary for '09 is in excess of $3 million and they drafted a guy with the sixth pick in Andre Smith that is going to start at left tackle or right tackle, the question could be if the Bengals want to see how Smith responds in workouts before they do anything.
