Offensive guard Derrick Dockery, who was signed to a seven-year, $49 million deal two years ago by the Buffalo Bills, was informed Thursday he is being released.

With this news it got me thinking whom we could bring in on the Oline to keep us from using multiple picks on the OL in the draft. I would love to see Dockery here in Cincy so we can move Whit to the outside at RT!

It's interesting to see all of these players getting released a year or two into contracts that were recently signed. For those that wanted Jeff Saturday, ESPN is reporting that he wants to play GUARD and turned down an offer to stay in Indy to remain their starting C.

It gets worse.

He wants to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

OK. Then Mikey should at least drive up the price, if he's smart.

The Colts get the point and re-sign Saturday

Ravens out of the Jason Brown derby, but are the Bengals in it?

http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/02/26/...gle-on-offense/

Brown had some interesting parting words, to say the least. I like his fire, though. The NFL Network's Adam Shefter just commented that Stacey Andrews is still very hot on the FA market. He went on about how teams around the league have been high on him for the last few years and all indications are that he'll be healthy and ready for the '09 opener.

Is Stacey better than we think?

Could be with better coaches and better talent around him on the line.

But I think he'd be a good value for someone and that may be the kicker more than anything.

Alexander on the radio tonight said he thinks Andrews is one of the NFL's "top 8 tackles."

I'm not sure what makes him that good, and if he is, that means the rest of the o-line really sucks.

Also regarding the thread topic, as I've said many times, don't see the Bengals' signing a top 3 FA guard or center - won't happen. They'll draft one and let him go when he's up for a new contract after doing what they drafted him for.

The Bengals' are often in o-line position crisis mode every 3 years you'll notice.

OL Options, What are we going to do?

Free agency, the draft, I hope whatever it f**kin' takes to build an offensive line that can...

#1: Consistently protect Carson Palmer and give him adequate time in the pocket.

#2: Open some running lanes that even I could run through!

I've always thought he's pretty damn good.

At 6'9, 325 I know he's a big dude and he came in and played well in the KC game, but I'm not one to put to much stock in that particular game.

Anyway, just wondering what else anyone knew about him. I can read the official site blurb, but I was looking for more.

I wonder how much of a look he will get ??

on the bengals website is saying with stacey leaving that collins may move rt while whit may move to lt. i do like that combo better that stacey and levi. if we can sign a center like birk or brown. that would allow the bengals to go with the bpa in the draft.

Andrews is leaving? My day just got made.
