OK, next Pitt game there needs to be a bounty on Ward or everybody on the Bengals has a ***damn vagina.

Put. Him. Out.

See...that's the problem with this team. It shouldn't be 'next Pitt game'. The very next play somebody should have taken his butt out. If this team had any fire and cared, they would have. Next Pitt game is when? Four weeks? Six? Too late then.

hines ward lead with his helmet, that is a big no no. the play had already passed by hines and rivers, there was no need for that block. unless you are trying to hurt someone period! if any member of this team had any balls what so ever. they would have busted hines ass for that. if i was on the bengals that would have been hines last football game ever! now don't get me wrong i am not out for hurting anyone. but if you are that kind of player that just waits to catch someone off guard and tries to hurt them, then you get what you deserve! trust me i would have kimoed hines and ended his career then stood over him and laughed as i spit in his face! you hurt one of my teammates or friends your ass is grass plain and simple a eye for a eye! sorry to be that way that is just how i see it.

Ok, if you are going to throw a flying shoulder at someone, how do you not also throw your head into it from that angle? Don't get me wrong. If they fine him and suspend him for a game, a season, a lifetime, won't hurt my feelings. I don't think he actually meant to pop him in the face and do that damage, though. He probably meant to get a good flying hit and send a message, but I don't think he could have foreseen breaking a jaw in two places with that hit.

Well, what's his name that put Boldin out didn't mean to take Boldin out either. Someone hit him from behind and knocked Boldin's head into his. He got a 50000 dollar fine and a one-game suspension. Whether or not Ward meant to hit Rivers with his helmet, he did it. Rivers didn't break his jaw hitting the ground. Ward hit Rivers' jaw with his helmet and therefore I think he not only gets fined, but also suspended. And he's gonna cry about it, and so will Tomlin. It'll be interesting to see what Palomalu has to say now that he got a concussion from helmet to helmet. Will he sing the same tune he did last week?

Troy can't gripe...he's the one the clearly led with his helmet. He just lost the battle.

Well last week he said they shouldn't be fining players and were trying to make this a panzy league, and then he went and got a concussion. So I just wonder if he'll change his tune or not.

I could give a rat's if the hit was clean or not. Somebody should have taken his punk ass out! That play right there epitomizes the difference between the two franchises. A wr decks one of our few NFL caliber players on defense and all they can do is spout off about what they are going to do next time. Whatever. All the guys that were talking tough after the game walked right past Ward and didn't say d!ck! It makes me sick to my stomach to watch the Squeelers roll into Cincinnati and laugh right in their faces yet again. What a bunch of soft women. I'm in sports hell.

Do I think the hit was dirty ?? Hard to say with the speed of the game, but you can clearly see him lowering his head to lay the blow. Why do you need to lower your head ?? Serves no other purpose than to hurt another player. He could have just as easily taken Rivers out of the play with a shoulder hit. Just how I see it...

I agree with Greg on this as well. This team has a soft label to start and when the other teams WR takes out your starting MLB with NO reaction from your team mates speaks volumes to just how soft they really are. It's sad to see people react after the fact with words. Give me a f*cking break already. Stop talking about it and go f*cking hit someone !!!

I like how the Ravens are talking about having a bounty out on Ward for the hit he laid on Scott last season. It's illegal as hell, but they don't care and continue to talk about kicking his ass. That's how you do it. The Bengals ?? They talk about how much they respect the guy. Unf*ckingbelievable !!!

Rivers was the Bengals' second-leading tackler for the season, starting every game. Linebacker Brandon Johnson will get more playing time with Rivers out. Johnson finished tied for the team lead with seven tackles on Sunday.

Johnson saw a double standard at work.

"No flag came out because it wasn't a quarterback," Johnson said. "If he was a quarterback, then they definitely would have thrown the flag. If it was a receiver, they definitely would have thrown the flag. It's just something that comes with playing defense. If you play defense, then you're pretty much expendable, I guess.

"It's part of the game. It was a good block. If I was in Hines Ward's shoes, I probably would have taken the same shot. You can't really blame him."

The play was ruled a clean hit as no flags were thrown. But Ward's hit did upset some of Rivers' teammates after the game.

"That's what he's known for," Bengals safety Chinedum Ndukwe said. "You expect that coming in. People are going to take their shots when they can. Too bad he can't hit someone face up. It's too bad he has to wait until he's not looking to get him. It's unfortunate. It's the type of guy he is. That's all right. We play them again. He's a blind-side guy."

Duke Nukem said it best that he's that kind of cowardly player! He is a piece of s**t that is going to get what's coming to him and I hope that Duke does it but I know that the Ravens have a bounty out for him, and I hope he gets his career ended! I hate that smiling mut, the league would be a better place without pieces of s**t like him! He ends Keith Rivers rookie year and he brags and celebrates, he is a dirty piece of trash and God-ell should do something because he shows no remorse!

I hope Chinny or White knocks his f**king head off! His day is coming, karma's a motherf**ker.

I agree with you 100%. I thought the exact same thing after Palmer went down... Where the f**k is the attitude within this organization. They're like a bunch of little girls. p***yfied litttle girls. If I were Jeanty or the other guy I would've stomped a mudhole in Wards ASS after that hit right in front of me... I don't care what anyone says, Ward was head hunting. Yes, it was a clean hit but at the same time he came back looking for someones head.

By the way--head count here. How many of us thought Geathers' hit on Trent Green in that Kansas game a couple seasons back was a dirty hit? Same type of hit. Cost Green the season and, should have, his career. What? Green slid into that? Same flow-of-the-game hit as yesterday.

A helmet to helmet hit when you are already launched into the air and a guy decides to slide is totally different then blocking another guy while leading with the crown of your helmet. I have seen many guys make a block like the one the Ward did, and most of them blocked the guy below the shoulder pads without leading with their helmet and got the same pancake block result. There was absolutely no reason for Ward to lead with the crown of his helmet into Rivers helmet. I am guessing it will be a $15,000 fine or more.

Friendly wager here. I'll bet on no fine. You bet on 15,000-plus. Loser has to post on here bowing to the superior intellect and football knowledge of the other. If we both lose and there is a fine under 15 grand, we both get to post how the Steelers are always protected by the Commish and the Bengals always get screwed, which doesn't really have anything to do with the fine, but will be fun nonetheless.

Fine with me...*pun intended.

I kind of agree with Hotboy that this team must not have any chemistry, otherwise someone would have stepped up and taken a good lick on one of Pittsburgh's players. It's just like in baseball when the other team beans your best player...your pitcher will either bean their best player or hit the pitcher. They should have picked the spot and in the game right for it and got some payback...this team has no heart, leadership, or chemistry...bottom line, 0-7.

Oh absolutely. Clean hit, dirty hit, doesn't matter for that discussion. Ndukwe talking about the hit AFTER the fact doesn't mean jack. Marvin should have put in our third string LB on the next play with one instruction--'Put him out. We'll pay your fine.' If Ward had gotten slugged on that series, the fans would have seen the fire and physicality we've been demanding all season. Instead--nope. All talk and no walk.

I'm with you, this team has absolutely NO balls, all talk.

I can not stand Ward, never could. Him and that little f*g giggle of his. He will get his freaking clock cleaned, but it won't be a Bengal to do it. I look for a Raven to knock his ass out and I will giggle my freaking ass off. He's really not very bright. I think all this talk about how tough he is has gone to his head. It's like a pitcher drilling the opposing pitcher, when he is due to face the same dude the following inning. Guess what? You are getting drilled yourself. Ward also prides himself on going over the middle. Well, you better not concentrate too hard on that football, because someone is looking to knock you out. Again, the Bengals are too busy laughing it up with the f*g to actually teach him a lesson. What a joke.

Suggs announces ravens have a bounty on ward

SUGGS SAYS THE RAVENS HAVE A BOUNTY ON WARD

Posted by Mike Florio on October 21, 2008, 5:45 p.m.

We alluded the other day to recent comments from Ravens linebacker/defensive end Terrell Suggs regarding the existence of a bounty on Steelers receiver Hines Ward.

Shaggy from 2 Live Stews has sent us the audio from Suggs’ appearance on the show and, indeed, Suggs declares that there’s a still-pending bounty on the MVP of Super Bowl XL.

Suggs said that the Ravens wanted to get Ward during the September 29 game between Baltimore and Pittsburgh, but that they couldn’t line him up during a live play.

The problem is Ward’s reputation for knocking the blocks off of unsuspecting defenders. “He does a little cheap shot,” Suggs said. “It’s legal but it be cheap.”

So what happens when the Steelers go to Baltimore?

“We’ve got something in store for him,” Suggs said.

Suggs also admitted during the radio segment that the Ravens had a bounty on rookie running back Rashard Mendenhall, whose season was ended via a broken shoulder sustained against Baltimore.

But bounties are against the rules. So look for Suggs and the Ravens to hear from the league office about this one. At a minimum, stern warnings will be issued before these teams get together for a little Christmas cheer on December 16.

Suggs must be a complete idiot to say that in public. Now every hit on Ward will be scrutinized by the league office. Having a bounty on a guy is one thing. Broadcasting it to the world is moronic and counterproductive in that it makes it that much harder to actually execute it.

Atleast one team had the balls to get some revenge
