HoosierCat
Great. Just f**king great.Maxwell? Looks like he's lost for at least the first four games. Do we have any WRs who will be able to play in September?Kilmer? Quad injury. Headed to IR AGAIN. This is a joke, right?I'm starting to believe in curses.http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=6968
volcom69
They need to go out and sign another WR soon if this keeps happening or maybe they should just sign someone now in case.
HoosierCat
They are going to have to do something, that's for sure. Looking at the depth chart, if come opening day Chad and TJ are still hurting, our starting WRs will be Simpson and Chatman, backed by Holt and Urrutia.Eeek. Ickey44
A torn groin kept Ahmad Brooks out all last year and a pulled hamstring ruined Rudi's year. I think a torn muscle is going to keep Maxwell out longer than a month. They need to bring some guys in and sign someone. I think the only healthy receivers are Chatman, Simpson, and Holt. We can't even field a four WR set.
HoosierCat
I think the only healthy receivers are Chatman, Simpson, and Holt.Per Hobson, those are indeed our three lead WRs for the Saints game.
Ickey44
Well, at least they'll get plenty of reps. Looks like they'll be playing the whole game.
BengalByTheBay
Joe Horn was released a day or two ago from the Falcons. I wonder if he wants to catch passes from Carson Palmer?
HoosierCat
Horn's been on my radar screen but I'm not sure he's healthy (another guy with a hammy problem). Still, at this point it wouldn't hurt to bring him in for a look-see.
CJBestInAFC
We could always trade for Bolden in Arizona. That would certainly mean the end of TJ next season.
volcom69
Yea boldin would be nice lol but yea right look at the money he wants. I would like Horn to come in to have a try but so many teams are looking at him they better hurry if they are indeed thinking about it. It seems everyones WR are getting hurt i just saw the Phily is missing there top 2 WR also now that K. Curtis is out with a injury Brown has a hammy issue, man must be something with the WR this year lol.
HoosierCat
Boldin would be worth the trouble just because he's a Rosenhaus client. I can just see Mikey next year:OK, Drew, I have $50 million....but only for ONE of your guys...
kingwilly
We could always trade for Bolden in Arizona. That would certainly mean the end of TJ next season. No, it might mean the end of Thornton, Rudi and Anderson next season. Collins can miss blocks and assignments just as well as Andrews/Anderson at this point.Heck, get Boldin now and unload these 3.As for Mr. Kilmer, IR would be another charity case. 2 years, full pay, injured quadriflange. Our crack medical staff claims another victim.

Your(_0_)IsNext
This really sucks, I liked Kilmer when he was healthy and maxwell seemed like he really turned the corner and was going to be able to bring something to the table to help the team as far as depth. Please don't let this injury bug be a contualation of last year.
rwalling
...and now Maxwell's done for the year. Good thing we drafted two of them first day.
volcom69
Even if they did draft two of them they still need to go out and find another vetren to sign this team right now has no one at WR they need to be looking to sign now and i really hope they do if not then its not looking to good. ShulaSteakhouse
What exactly is wong with Caldwell? (know he's hurt but how long is he out?)Getting tired of these pu**ies! Find some guys who can stay healthy! Geesh.
HoosierCat
I believe Caldwell is down with turf toe just like Sims. Per one of Hobs' updates a day or to ago, Caldwell said he hoped to be ready for the opener.

Per one of Hobs' updates a day or to ago, Caldwell said he hoped to be ready for the opener. This is why I don't like the pre-season. It gives mugs a chance a cream a real NFL player. I see no reason for 3 or 4 preseason games. 2 should do it. I had a separated shoulder from "going over the falls" while body surfing. It was a mild case but still took 6 weeks to get pain free, full motion back. Chad actually popped the ball socket right? I hope he's back by mid September.TJ I got to think is just playing it safe in his last year of contract and doesn't want to come back unless he's 100%. Why risk it in the preseason? I think he will be ready for September. Same for Rudi although I don't think this is his last year.I figure TJ, Simpson, Chatman as your starting set come Sept. Should give lots of catches to Perry and Utecht and TJ's his chances of going long.
derekshank
I see no reason for 3 or 4 preseason games. 2 should do it.I agree. They used to have 6 pre-season games and a 14 game season. Owners didn't want to give up their money from those 2 games, so they added a couple to the regular season. My suggestion (I think I've mentioned it before)... 2 pre-season games, and 18 game regular season with each team getting 2 bye weeks. This actually adds 3 weeks of regular season football to NFL revenue. I see no reason for them not to jump on this idea.
volcom69
Well if they dont get another WR then they better learn how to run the ball and run it good and alot. Chris Perry and Kenny Watson should see the field alot with maybe Chris lineing up at WR. Ben will become the 3rd wideout i guess and lets hope the Defense dont give up alot of points cause if this keeps happening i dont see alot of points being scored. If they try to live by the big play they will die a humiliating and anguishing death by the big play.
ShulaSteakhouse
You can't just run the ball every down in the NFL - this isn't high school. If you can't do both well, you're screwed, period.
volcom69
I dont mean run the ball everydown but they better run it better and more then they have in the past. Sure they can try to hit the home run and go long but not all the time they better throw short passes and learn how to screen the ball better then they have to have good clock management.
