ArmyBengal
Still can't see the Rooney's not keeping control of the team regardless. Certainly can't see the Steelers leaving Pittsburgh and I don't want to see them leave. I wouldn't find any humor in it either, regardless of my bitter hatred of the Steelers. There is to much history there and it would be ashame to see them move. Sort of like seeing the Los Angeles Packers. It just doesn't fit...WHODEY !!! COB
The various Rooney offspring think Dan's offer is low. The funniest paragraph from that article:"Some family members expressed concern to bankers involved in the talks that Dan Rooney could use his enormous influence with the NFL to favor his family's bid. Mr. Rooney has had a major role in selecting NFL commissioners, and the NFL would have to approve any sale."What are they saying? That Roger Goodell would favor the several chieftans who put him in power? Bob Kraft and Jerra are outraged at such an accusation!Meanwhile what did Goodel cite as reason number one to renegotiate the CBA? He claimed the owners needed more capital because they had to pay for new stadiums. Hey y'all, who's building a great big, Texas-sized, privately owned luxury stadium down in Big D?
