of course, NKY is also where (until recently) the infamous Chris Henry lived

Stay classy Ahmad. I hope Ahmad isn't indulging in some kind of Sharia thing. According to this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_North_American_Muslims,

Ahmad is a muslim. I've heard that some muslim's do believe that women need to be "corrected" the hard way from time to time. Of course I'm probably wrong.

She probably deserved it.

easy now. These types of words are exactly what we collectively criticized the Steeler fans for when defending James Harrison. The difference (so far) with the Harrison case is that he is documented as admitting to hitting the girl. Oh, and then he gets old man Rooney defending him in public as if hitting women is o.k. depending upon the circumstance. In Harrison's case, it was because he wanted to get his child baptized. Ugh. Stupid. But he is given a pass ... because he is a Rooney.

Few things I found weird from PFT article.

ANOTHER BENGAL IN TROUBLE

Posted by Mike Florio on May 1, 2008, 4:38 p.m.

When the Bengals picked linebacker Ahmad Brooks in the third round of the 2006 supplemental draft, some began calling it the “turd round.” Between Brooks (who had issues with marijuana in college at Virginia) and Frostee Rucker (a third-rounder in April 2006 who had allegations of assault follow him to the NFL) and Chris Henry (a third-rounder in 2005 about whom any football fan knows plenty), the Bengals had made the third time something other than a charm.

Brooks, however, never got into any trouble with the Bengals. Until now.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, a Kentucky woman claims that Brooks punched her in the face on April 9. He has been summoned to appear in Court on June 6 to answer the charges.

Destiny Rosich contends that Brooks was arguing with one of her neighbors, outside the neighbor’s home. Rosich claims that Brooks at one point told the neighbor that he would “split his head open.”

Rosich then approached Brooks and asked him to “take it someplace else.”

Wrote Rosich in her criminal complaint: “He then pulled back his fist and struck [punched] me in the left eye. I then fell and blacked out.”

After regaining consciousness, he called 911 and was taken to a local emergency room.

Brooks hasn’t been arrested, yet. The hearing on June 6 likely will result in a decision as to whether any charges will be pursued.

Brooks landed on injured reserve in 2007 due to a foot injury. He played in only the first two games of the season, starting both of them.

1.)Who called 911? it says he regained consciousness that he did If this is true why didn't the neighbor that brooks was argueing with call?

2.)I'll let it unfold sounds like it could be BS that Odell had to deal with when someone wanted easy money.

How much of this is the public attempting to get some publicity by claiming charges. I know, I know I am not going to defend any such action but ... it always crosses my mind. At least this claim did not invovle (1) being out late at night (2) immediate police response .... it just sounds a bit fishy .... Come on Ahmad pull a Moss and pay it off then lock yourself in Paul Brown Stadium

I am with you Kazkal it all sounds a bit fishy... why wait a month before filing charges? I mean especially if they were knocked out. If this is bogus, the police need to take a stand in the opposite direction in protected such claims.....

Yes my glass is half full instead of half empty ...

Because she had to wait for her blackeye to go away...no way she could be seen in public with it! -_-

I'll chalk that one up to a typo, he meant she, not he.

Could be.

I figured just a typo but still has me wonder why didn't the neighbor call 911?

My problem with these kinds of accusations is that how in the world would she know who Ahmad Brooks is or what he looks like in street clothes? My guess is that after every assault in NKY when the victim doesn't know their attacker the police just flip some pictures of the Bengals roster in front of the victim and ask if it was one of them. <_<
